Picked up a couple nice things at the Goodwill yesterday:

Turbografx-16 Turbostick in box $5 - looks to be brand new but the box has some shelf wear. Since I don't have a TG16 this is up for trade if anyone is interested.

Wii Metal Box with magnets $5 - Weird Target overstock item. Bought it for the cool magnets.

Original Gameboy, black $10 - I would have normally passed this up, but it's in super nice condition. No marks on the screen and the whole unit is super clean.

Man, I was thinking my hauls would suck.

They didn't.

Last Express and Photoshop were $4 for both, GK Mysteries was $5 and is nice and mint!

Both Actraisers were $3 each! The demo discs? I'd tell you, but then I wouldn't get good offers for these! :D

Super C was $2, everything else was $2.50. I've been hunting for a Game Genie to test a few bootleg games I have. Woo!

Got the Nintendo Power Strategy Guide for Final Fantasy for $5. It's in really good shape. If that's not enough, while I was typing this, the UPS guy delivered my complete copy of The Quest For The Rings for the Odyssey2. That was $7. The outer box is a little messed up, but the bags of game pieces are still sealed and the little plastic markers are still hooked together. Not a bad day.

Wow, you folks just keep turning up great stuff!

Couple little things at a thrift. The toys were in grab bags for 80 cents each or so, the keychain gameboy (works!) was 50 cents, and Oddworld was 1.80 and I've been curious about that game.

Prepare yourself for an epic find today! Dragon Quest VIII brand new, sealed in the special box for only $14.95 at Game Stop!!!! Freaking awesome!

Obviously I'm kidding around. There wasn't crap at the pawn shop so I went to GS and finally picked up this game. I had been holding off for awhile and they had a copy in the discount bin. What else can I say, it's a great game. However, I'm still amazed the games seal wasn't broke. :D

A friend vendor got crazy with his prices....
He had a misc pile of N64,SNES common titles $15.00 each..
I tried for my usual $4.00 Super Mario World from him but he wasn't budging at $15.00..Damned if I ever pay $15.00 for Super Mario World even if I do know him.
He also used to sell me used Xbox 360 games for $10.00 each but he went up to $20.00...I almost bit but I do better getting them online cheaper.

A decent day for me. I hadn't planned to get a PS2 for a while, but I found one w/ hookups and 2 controllers for 40 (paid 35) that I broke down and bought. Of course, later I found another (same setup) one for 20 and had to get it too. Found a wireless PS2 controller for .75, Transformers the movie special edition for .50, Dreamcast Web Browser 2.0 sealed for 1.00, and MoH for 2. I really didn't need another NES, but I couldn't pass it by for 1.00. Got scooped on a bunch of SNES games, and was bummed so I didn't buy the SNES console for 10 (probably should have).

Later today I'm picking up Katamari Damacy and Mario Party 4 for 10 ea., so I'll have something to pop in one of my PS2s.

Panzer Dragoon (complete)
Panzer Dragoon II zwei (disc only)
Panzer Dragoon Saga (complete)
Magic Knight Rayearth (complete)
Golden Axe Duel (complete)
Shining the Holy Ark (complete)
Guardian Heroes (complete)
Albert Odyssey (Complete)
Dragon Force (complete, but missing back cover art)
Mystaria Realms of Lore (complete)

House of the Dead (complete)
Mr. Bones (complete)
Legend of Oasis (complete)
Shining Force III (disc only)
Dungeons & Dragons Collection (complete)

Along with these came a sega saturn, 2 controllers, a 4 mb cart, and about 10 other games. Was skeptical when I made the purchase, but all arrived in excellent condition (most discs are mint / near mint), and was very happy... Also played a few for the first time (Golden Axe Duel - corny, but fun.. the original still the best by far)... I've got a pic and was going to upload, but don't have a url to link to.... Happy hunting :)

Another Neo Geo MVS game..
Best one I've got yet:
Samurai Shodown $10 from Ebay (but I got to pick it up local) God I love it when I don't have to pay shipping..
While I was there picking up the game, I saw a Bust a Move box with marquees and instructions, needless to say I bought it $13...

On the way from Ebay:
Bust a Move MVS cart $25 + 7 shipping not too bad..

Another purchase for my dad on Father's Day, bought the day before I won the auction :

Puzzle Bobble (same game as Bust a Move) from an arcade vendor in Hawaii
$50 (damn now I will have the same game twice.. )

I think I need to stop buying some much NeoGeo stuff, but Boy I love having an arcade game at home...

Misc Items I Put in the Crane I Got at the Flea market..

It was a Find for me as I've always wanted to do something like this..
And it works...it has an I beam that breaks if an item goes out the chute,(yaeeeeeeehh!!)after being grabbed by the crane.

I was going to fill it with those little Sega Burger King Handheld games but they are just a bit too big.(have a gumball machin filled with those)

Found Super Mario Land (good condition, complete) and Super Mario Bros. Deluxe (good condition, everything but the manual) for $16 total at a pawn shop on my lunch break. This particular pawn is next to a kick ass Vietnamese restaurant here in Memphis. I've never found anything there before, but I was eating with 2 friends today and decided to give it a chance before heading back to work. I was very pleasantly surprised to find these 2 gems at a decent price. So, anyone got a SMB deluxe manual they're willing to sell or trade? :)

Earlier in the week I bought a 360 premium off of a guy from work for $125. It came with a the hookups and 2 controllers; one wireless and one wired. I figured if it died on me like everyone else's 360's, $125 wouldn't kill me.
The controller charger and the cable for the wired controller is with the box he said. I was adamant about getting the box as all the paperwork.
I'm pretty anal about stuff like that and I still don't have it yet. Everyday it's the same thing, "Damn I forgot the box again! I need to give you my phone number so you can remind me. Well, see ya later!"
Bastard.

I hit Gamestop on the way back from the post office... bought:

Xenosaga Episode 1 (Complete) - $8
Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (Complete, light scratches) - $7
Gungriffon Blaze - complete, near mint - FREE

I actually looked at all their Xenosaga and MGS2 cases to pick out the best looking cases and manuals. :p And I wasn't really thinking of buying MGS2, since I've been looking for MGS2: Substance for months, but I figured this will keep me busy while I manage to find it.

Gungriffon? Well... it was the cheapest game there. And it was free. So blargh. :P

Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones
Golden Sun

All were cart only, and the guy ringing up the games must've not paid close attention, 'cause he run up Golden Sun twice, sparing me the $17.99 price of Fire Emblem, making it less than half the price. His loss, my gain.

WWF Royal Rumble
Mortal Kombat 3

Picked up Hexen and Gex for PC for $1.00 total at a different sale

WOW, I have not posted in one of these threads in a long, long time. I kinda stopped collecting but I still read the forums. Anyhow, I was out and about today and decided to do a run through a couple of my old thrifts which I have not done in quite some time and happened across this:

Hey, not the prettiest condition but I ain't complaining for 2 bucks. Gotta wipe off the marker price. Stadium Events and an NTF2, strangely lucky 'round these parts....

Flea Market..
Mini SNES $2.00
SNES Super Terminator Joystick(looks to have real Arcade Harware-stick buttons)$3.00
NES System,no plug $20.00
Bag of NES games $20.00
I saw this earlier in the day and the price on the NES was $30.00 ..$5.00 each NES game...I walked away.
Came back later and the price went down to $25.00 then $20.00 once I showed the vendor that the plug wasn't the right one...He said it was the right one(Oh) then went to look for the right one(saying someone stole it)three times saying he found it but all he was doing was cupping the wrong-same one in his hand trying to pass it on me..(I'm like, nope, nope, nope.)
He went down to $3.00 on the games and I assume he sold some after I walked away.
After I grabbed 4-5 games out of the bag at $3.00 each he said give him $20.00 for the bag..(I guess he got tired of answering prices for the games or getting haggled)

Most of these games will be for sale once I remove what I don't have in my own collection..

This was not the only good stuff I found today but it was all I could spend on..I actually only went today so that my Dad could do his Hunting-I had a race later in the day and was trying not to wear myself down with all the walking there..

I took First Place,Intermediate Production Today..too..

Darryl, the flea market that you got your NES and all that stuff from, was that at Englishtown? I used to go but then it got junky, nothing good really. If you're starting to find those things, maybe I'll convince my dad to bring me down more often :P

I go to Englishtown Flea Market as I race and practice around the corner from it at Raceway Park..(kill two birds with one stone)Come see me Crash..:D

I don't buy everything I see..Sad to say that I really don't find half as much as I did years ago..It's getting less and less..

As I told my Dad..I think I need to stop searching for gaming items to "sell" as I'm not finding enough,or at great deals... nor being able to resell them at any profit...Once in awhile I get a decent find but it's not fulfilling the buy and sell hunting.
I was thinking to start looking into Comics or antiques as I pass this stuff up..

If you go,LMK..Maybe we can meet up..I always go check out the Slot Machine Dealer..

Kevin Smith, the movie director, just did a podcast where he talked about shopping at the Englishtown Flea Market. It's SModcast #13. It's pretty hilarious.
