CGE 2007 Museum - Calling All Exhibitors

It's that time, when we start begging, pleading and otherwise grovelling to YOU, the great DP community to try and make the CGE Museum bigger and badder this year!

I just sent a note out to some folks who have previously contributed, but I know it's not a comprehensive list, so I wanted to start a thread everyone can join in on... if you've brought stuff in the past, think you're going to CGE and could bring stuff again, I'd love to hear from you!

More news to come...

I've contributed the past 5 years and did not receive an email about this. I also messaged Joe about it a few months ago, but never received a response.

If you sent an email out to me I have not seen it yet.

Just in case it needs to go again,,,, use to the romero domain address.

Oh,, and I will be up for bringing my load-o-Vectrex-stuff once more. So give me a at least as much room once more. And at least one wall outlet for the classic display stand.

Unfortunately I will not be bringing any Virtual Boy items this year. So someone else needs to step up tot he plate and bring their Gundam, Nitendo Power special issues, Goldeneye Poster, Store Display Light, etc.

Thanks for bearing with me.

I have every VBOY game, so if those are needed, I can step up.

If there's any desire, I can bring along my Star Fire patch from atariage's high score contest a few years back. I also have the Halo 2 "I Love Bees" dvd, copy #3 of the limited Thrust+ w/ foot pedal run back before AA started selling the game, an AV famicom, a PC Engine Duo-R(with various games for both), the VIS and various games for that, and various bits of 1980s-early 90s mario merchandise-plushes, little toys, comics, etc.

One other point that I'd like to make everyone aware of... if you're bringing stuff for the museum, please do everything you can to make sure we can leave it in the museum until AFTER the show closes on Sunday.

We sometimes have media folk who want to come through and photograph stuff after the crowd clears, and we'd like to make sure we can accomodate them with a full museum.

Plus it lets the poor brain-dead museum coordinator make sure nothing walks without knowing about it :D

retrogmr: I know I am one of those guilty of taking things early on Sunday =P it all depends on my plane tickets!

We'll be leaving early on Monday so it'll have to be "get the stuff back on Sunday" routine, but as long as the room is open to get them, doesn't really matter how late that is...

If you want to pre-ship some items over Vectrex Mayhem I would be happy to receive them and take them outo to Vegas.

I have a boxed white astrocade, some astrocade protos, even an astrocade with the extra computer board installed on the bottom(inside). I would be more than happy to bring them to spruce up the astrocade section. I also have a sheer amount of other gaming stuff that is unusual, including a dual N-gage display.

What is the day and time to place items into the Museum?

What is the day and time all items MUSt be removed/packed up from the Museum?

To address Chris' questions:
- Friday will be the day the Museum is open for accepting items and setup... as with most CGE's, we'll probably be working until 8pm or so, at which point the room will get locked and noone will be allowed in
- During show hours, items will not be allowed to be removed without my or the CGE's staff's permission
- Ideally, items should be picked up after the show closes on Sunday (5pm), we'll be working in there to pack until we're finished. Despite what will appear to be major chaos, I will be checking everything out so don't come in and just grab your stuff :)

For everyone else who's offered to bring stuff on the thread - the master list is almost done and I'll be contacting each of you this week to finalize what you're bringing.

- Adam, email me back so we can discuss what you're bringing.
- rwbivins, yes, send me a list of what you think you can bring
- swlovinst, the white Astrocade and the Astrocade protos would definitely be welcome

Hey everyone;
If I haven't contacted you already to confirm what you're bringing, please drop me a line. We still need some cool stuff to represent the 16-bit era (more on the SNES and Genesis side, I have the TurboGrafx side covered), but if anyone else has something that you're just dying for the public to see, please get in touch!
