A lot of them have been offered for free on the OXM demo discs, but I don't think they're going to give you Shivering Isles for free. :p

Honestly, what kind of logic goes behind choosing to release them on disc for the PC and not the 360? Wouldn't PC gamers traditionally be much more likely to have broadband connections than console gamers?

It's all about maximum profit (i.e. $0 manufacturing/distributing costs). What I don't understand is how Bethesda and MS came to the conclusion that they would make more money by offering Shivering Isles through Xbox Live only instead of shipping it out to the tens of 1000's of Walmarts, Targets, Best Buys, etc.

by cutting out manufacturing / physical distribution, AND the middle man (walmart ect) the only costs left are development costs and advertising. Even if they sell less copies, they can make more money overall. Walmart in particular is infamous for strong-arming suppliers, leading to almost no profit margin for suppliers.
