Saw this on ebay:

What's going on here? I looked the game up on dp's guide and it's a European release game, but the cart is North American. This seller also has International Super Soccer for auction, same thing with a NA cart. How many non US released games had US cartridges like this? I always figured all JP/PAL games were made with the differently designed cartridge. It might be cool to track down these other foreign games made with the U.S. carts.

You should be able to find past topics on this subject using search (especially for ISS) IIRC, they were released in Mexico and South America and never got an official USA release.

Well that SUPER COPA was released in mexico. I owned that game and sold it on ebay for 80 dollars to DreamTR. It has a north american release part number.

The other one (International superstar soccer deluxe) is rare too..but im not sure its worth 400 dollars as that seller is asking!

I sold one ISSD a few months ago for $160. I have another one I will sell soon

This has been brought up before. Nintendo did not release SNES games in the USA. The NTSC releases were North American releases. THis falls under the same category. Unfortunately there is confusion from some of the DP collectors about it, but in order to get warranty service for that game, the consumer had to call a US phone number or write to a US address from the manual.

It has a US part #, but in reality, this is an official North American release. THough Nintendo's official list does not have Super Copa listed (it is a variation of Tony Meola's Sidekicks for SNES with different teams), it does have both ISS and ISS Deluxe listed.

I actually need the box/manual for this game, but I am not sure the seller will part with it, being 5 cent listing day and all.

Is today a 5 cent listing day? :)

I thought you was refering to the picture of the man kicking the other man in the nadds. I would imagine somebody being embarassed of this but stillLOL

I was also thinking man this games layout is cheap. Just a shotty picture and logo with the SNES and discription on the side:rockets:weak:moon:

what

Anyways, Super Copa, along with Chavez II were a couple of ASC games designed for the Latin American audience. I would say that their rarity is exaggerated, it is just that we don't have many people from these countries exporting them to us. If I go to Chile next year, like I am planning, I will keep an eye out for these games.

Latin American audience

All sports is kinda gay but I don't think any Latino based man would want to be on the cover of this game. Neither the kicker or the offender.^^;

Did this game sell good. I don't keep a track of sports games since I prefer outside and not on the tv.

I still don't know what the hell you are rambling on about.

As for sales, it didn't even matter. The game was a profit before it was even manufactured, due to the agreement to plaster Pepsi and Pizza Hut ads all over the game.

Don't worry, nobody ever knows what he's saying.

I suppose we should put his crap on the calmthebeefmin website.

Nah, that would taint the greatness of the beef min. Someone should register "ijusttypedthisnakedwithatowelovermylap.com" and put the stuff there.

Add ISSD to the list, and it is pretty much complete. There is also rumoured to be a Captain Tsubasa game released in South America, but I have no info on it.

Suppa, was this the other copy that you told me last year "I had one more of"? Damn you're gonna make some nice BANK off that there!

I got my ISSD copy off Suppa last year. Very lucky to have scored it for just $33 shipped, his previous two cart only copies sold for what, 78 and 90? I couldn't believe it ended at $33, but this was when DP was down, so that probably played a big factor. Anyway, great game and I'm sure that auction will make some gamer-collector very happy.

False.

I'm 100% certain this is some sort of bootleg.
