Game Gear and Nomad screens

Is it possible to buy replacement lcd screens or compatible newer screens for the Game Gear and Nomad?

The LCD screens for both of my handhelds have dead pixels and a replacement screen seems like a better idea than buying a new system just to have that screen crap out too.

Honestly man, its going to be a whole lot cheaper at this point to just replace them than expirement with a screen replacement.
I could be wrong. No Im pretty sure I am!
I saw someone on the net years ago showing how to replace a Nomad screen....

Gamegears are very inexpensive as I recall.

yeah i have a game gear screen broke and i can get one for about 7-10 bucks. I would have to get the screen for 3 bucks to make it make sense to me
