Maybe this has the deleted battle where Geese Howard and Captain Kirk equip weirding modules and fi-who the hell am I kidding.

This is pretty awesome. Anything in here you don't recognize in the final game? Any artifacts of its Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre heritage like weapon names/etc.?

I like rpgs and I like strategy games but I never played this one. For some time the retail version of this was impossible to find for a decent price. I want to say 100 or 200 bucks for a used copy. It was eventually re-released but by then I was playing other games and didn't go back. I guess I'd have to play them side by side to notice the differences.

I had a deal fall through for my entire PS1 collection for 18k and ever since then I've been debatting selling them one at a time. Now that I need the money....

No, please continue. I feel that had the potential for another POTY candidate :P

The debug mode is in the real game, too, so you don't need an "alpha" copy to access the debug menu, for those interested in doing so.

This will help explain it:

Ahh I think you need a gameshark for that.

It was my understanding that some of the debug commands using the gameshark don't work. In the debug version i've seen, they all work (i want to say it's something about a map, but i don't remember. I've never played a final fantasy game so i'm not sure). The copy i've seen also needed a memory card dongle to work...

Some of my betas of high profile games (God of War and hold your laughter Mike Tyson on the PS1) come with dongles but not this one.
