Wow. I didn't see this coming:
We would like to let you know that we removed your listing(s):
3016241929 SUPER 8 for SNES! Play NES Games on your SNES
for violating our Mod Chips Policy. Please read our Mod Chips Policy here:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/mod-chips.html
I had no idea a Super 8 would be considered a mod chip.
So, does anyone wanna buy/trade for a Super 8?

I've never heard of this device. How does it work and where did you get it from?
I suspose it COULD be considered a mod.....without knowing how the device works, I would advise looking at the techinal details and send it to EBay if it's not modding the SNES and ask for a second look.

It just sits on top of the SNES & plugs in the cartridge slot. Kind of like the 32X works for the Genesis.
Here's a pic:

You can then play NES or SNES games through the device. Pretty cool to have, but I needed cash...

I would love to get one of those, but I'm lacking in the money department right now.

NES games huh? Well maybe this is one way I can get US NES stuff and play it properly over here :D
I'm tempted... what sort of price you looking for it?

I'm not really sure what the going price for it is. If anyone knows the value for it, let me know.
If all else fails, I can just run an auction here to establish a fair price.

Believe it or not, I actually got a human response from eBay regarding my Super 8 being pulled:
Thank you for getting back to us.
I have reviewed the information that you have provided as well as the
information on file. As such, I have determined that the appropriate
action has been taken.
Your listing was removed based on eBay policy concerning potentially
infringing items. The listing offered to sell potentially infringing
material.
Devices with the capability of permitting the play of import games on a
domestic system are not allowed on eBay. Such devices bypass a copyright
security system in the console. By bypassing this protection system the
device is infringing the copyrights of the content owner.
Since eBay does not allow potentially infringing items to be sold on the
site, your listing was removed and all fees related to it were credited
to your account. We ask that you not relist the item on eBay, as doing
so may result in the suspension of your eBay account.
It's still a stupid reason.

I also see EBays point of view -- Sony and other companies HATE those moding devices with a passion and the last thing EBay wants is to risk the ire of them.

Thought of a price yet Jay?

Does that means 32X would be illegal under that rule? The 32X does let you play 32X games that you can't otherwise with a plain Genesis. And there exists a 32X console (Neptune)
See if you can get back to eBay with that and if eBay starts yanking all 32X or change the rules a bit, hopefully enough to create a loophole to let Super8 through.

Since I can't search for ended Super 8 auctions on eBay, I really don't know what price to sell it for. I'd rather just keep it than ask for too much/too little.
Does anyone know the value of it?

There used to be a website that sold them for around $60.00. Perhaps an indication towards the price.

When ebay was selling them, they ended for about 30 bucks. For the longest time I was trying to find one, and I am sure of the value being around 30 dollars. 40 at the highest, seeing as how it is boxed. Good luck man.

Well, that's less than what I paid, so it looks like I'm keeping it. :)
I guess it's a good thing eBay pulled it because I would have been pissed if it had ended for $30.
Although, it was up for on one day & had 7 bids for $25, so I think it would have been closer to the $60 quote.
But, you never can tell with eBay.

How much DID you pay for it? Have you tried other auction sites like Yahoo?
