Speedball 2 coming to XBLA

Old news i know, just in case you missed it...

Is anyone else pumped for this? Can't wait to have multiplayer over XBLA! a wax and polish for those old 16 bit graphics will be nice, not that there is anything wrong with the classic look.

Speedball 2 was one of my fave games back in the day. I still play it from time to time on the pc, it's addictive and simple gameplay really has stood the test of time.

I just hope they dont stuff it up! ICE CREAM ICE CREAM!!!

I'm stoked - Speedball 2 is one of my favorite Amiga games and nothing ticked me off more than to find it didn't work with an AGA-based miggy back in the day. Trying to find the CD32 version of it where I didn't have to donate a kidney hasn't happened yet. Now I'm hoping to get my 360 back before it's released...

Cantaloup, thats the site for the PC remake it's not the same one being released for XBLA.

The PC one will be a total rebuild from the ground up, it really shouldnt even be called speedball 2. Frankly i don't have high hopes for it. I feel these old games dont compare much to modern ones, as in it's hard to bring something from the early 90's up to the standard of a sports game that's from 2007 without totally changing everything. People expect a deeper more complex experience these days. One of the great attractions with the original was the fact it was so easy to pick up and play.

The XBLA version is just a straight Amiga/Genesis port with added content and a HD mode, should be ace!
