According to Kotaku, Target is going to discontinue all GBA related items. If anybody happens to travel to a Target anytime soon, check and see how much they are selling the GBA SP systems and then report back. I want to get a GBA SP with the bright screen, but I want to get one cheap, lol.

I honestly havent seen anything GBA hardware related, at Target, lately.

And the only games they have left are games like Dora The Explorer, and the kiddie games that litter the shelf.

I stopped in a Target today looking for a Microsoft steering wheel and took a look at the GBA area while I was there. So far, everything is as it was -- there weren't any discounts on games or hardware, but there was a surprisingly large number of games. I'll keep checking every so often to see if they start discounting anything.

time for the GBA to go. It's probably my favorite handheld of all time. I refuse to pick up an SP2 until the price falls. 2007 may be the year. I want to swap the SP2 guts into my NES SP. That will be sweet!

I was at Target today. The GBA section looks pretty empty, mainly lots of copies of only a few diffirent games (mainly Pokemon). There was a rack of DS and GBA games by the cash registers that were all 14.99 but there was nothing there of note other than a couple GBA megaman games. The rest were things like Monster House, and Barbie.

Will keep looking though to see if anything goes on sale.

Talk to Klausien, I didn't get the idea from him but I know he did it a long time ago. I think he sent me instructions too. Very helpful!

Seems odd, considering GBA hardware is still selling decently. Maybe they should discontinue PS3 while they're at it.

I guess this means I'll be seeing more brand new GBA accessories at the Goodwills in the future.

DAMN... I knew the GBA was dying, because I've been watching Fry's once massive selection of GBA games become smaller and smaller to the point that it's now almost nonexistant... I guess I'll have to finish up my GBA collection on ebay... DAMMIT... I really wanted the GBA to survive a few more years...

I checked tonight out of curiousity and the GBA SP systems and all but one of the games I scanned came up as active items.

I'll put another vote in for the awesomeness of the Micros, though. It's pretty much all I use even though I have other GBAs and I'm a sucker for the changeable faceplates. I really wish they'd taken off, as I've only one extra pack of faceplates and that's not even enough for every day of the week.
