So far I've overlooked this fairly common title because I have the games on many other formats including MAME. However, I noticed that it includes updated or "arranged" versions of Galaga, Dig Dug, and I think Pac-Man. Can anyone comment on these new versions? Do they add anything worthwhile to the package? Thanks.

I've got the X-Box version and they were all released in the arcades back in the late 80's-early 90's. They're really good and play different from the originals especially Galaga Arrangement. Think of them like sequels to the originals. I believe Namco released Rally-X Arrangement that is not included on the Museum.

Well, Mame does have the arrangement Pac-Man and Galaga variations, although I do not believe Dig Dug is there (was that even released in the arcade?)

They are nice versions. I really like Galaga the best (big Galaga fan here), and the others are good too. Again, I am a compilation whore. Even tho I have been into emulation for a little over a decade and have every rom known to man, I *still* buy these compilations whenever I get the chance. On that note, buy it!

Two different replies. If you're a GameCube-only guy, this is a GREAT retro compilation to pick up. I'm not a big fan of the Dig Dug arranged update but Galaga and Pac are GREAT.

If you have other systems you might want to look into them. For example, the Namco Museum on PS2 is every bit as good as the GameCube version.

Go get it if you didn't already.
