In the words of the late great Bill Hicks, Sony will be a "sucker of Satan's cock" in order to sell more PS3s.

Obviously Sony is going to be pimping their AAA titles out the ass come July. But I think that they actually have a chance of winning over some of the pessimists this time next month. If they stay away from sales numbers, and focus on the upcoming fall/holiday season, Sony has just as much of a shot of wooing crowds as the other 2 companies have.

Nintendo said they had a hardware announcement and I think something about Mario Kart too.

Whatever company you are rooting for, this holiday is going to be a battle that will make or break who wins and who loses the console war. I personally think that Sony is in alot of trouble if they dont release a price drop. Microsofts lineup looks solid, with the Wii having some AAA titles coming out as well. Now, Microsoft, about that ring of death....please make a hardware revision!

I would like to see some big game announcements. We've been hearing about many of the same games for awhile now (Killzone, Crysis, Unreal Tournament, Super Mario, etc.), but I want to see some of the games we'll be playing two years from now. We know already what's coming out at the end of this year so there is only room for a couple surprises.

Everyone want's a price drop...everyone who wants one could have saved the money by now if they started saving when they started talking about the drop. Many of the games have dropped a ton in price which alone could have paid for the additional money you need for the system.

Besides, the PS2 still seems to be getting the best selection of games...

I'd like to see someone have the balls to admit that Duke Nukem Forever is NEVER coming out... and it would be nice if someone would say that they won't announce any further release dates for Tabula Rasa until they're SURE that it WILL be coming out on that date... I'm sick and tired of the games that some companies play with release dates, pushing them back ad infinitum for years, and expecting the public to still believe after several years of it...

I'd like Nintendo to give a date for the new Fire Emblem.

Really amazing yet somewhat 'traditional' PS3 RPGs.

And Idolm@aster getting localized!

YES

That would give me a reason to get a PS3 other than playing my PS1 games on it.

Fuck. Yes.

I am glad to see I'm not the only one interested. Add English subtitles, leave the Japanese voices, and release it for $40. I know it would sell.

The most time I've spent with my PS3 has involved playing Tales of Destiny, not anything remotely 'next gen'. Give me a Tales or a Star Ocean or Grandia or basically anything where I have 3-5 characters somehow under my control battling a bunch of monsters for a short period of time before I continue making them walk across a field occassionally stopping to fiddle with their equipment and drink strangely-named things to increase their HP on their way to Further The Plot.

Which is not to say that I don't like Action-RPGs or whatever. I do. But... traditional RPGs are what seems to make me sit down and play for an entire day without realizing I've missed lunch.
