NAVA Summer 2007 NOW WITH PICS

You may be thinking "I thought NAVA was always the last Saturday of the month". Or you MAY be thinking "They're working around the holiday". Maybe you're even thinking "what is that strange smell?".

Classic Gaming Expo approaches and with it our schedules are getting a little jumbled. It's just impossible to get the June NAVA in on its scheduled date and by the same token CGE itself is the last weekend in July so no NAVA at all. Instead, we're squeezing June and July into this next event, "Summer NAVA".

The tournament was so popular that we'll do it again. Expect a few new twists! Remember to bring stuff to trade or sell. See you there.

WHERE: Digital Press Videogames (hey, you can now type this right into Mapquest and we pop up!)
WHAT: 6 arcade machines, at least 4 home consoles, an internet gaming center, trading with your fellow gamer/collectors and hot tournament action.

Ugh. Am I going to have to work out a schedule with you now? There wasn't any other weekend this could be done between now and CGE. I wasn't aware of any pre-existing schedule - the NAVA schedule isn't - we just try to pick a day when most of us can get together.

And I'd suggest you do something about that cough, too.

Anyone interested in a Neo Geo Gold 2-Slot cab? There is some "major" damage to one of the sides , where maybe a 3in.x 3in. piece of wood broke off, but other than that it is in pretty good shape. The monitor is nice and relatively new (not the original one), the buttons and sticks are all very nice too. The marquee backlight is broken (it's common), but it still looks good holds mini marquees well. It doesn't have locks though. The best part about the cab is the size. It isn't very big, but it delivers the same great Neo action! I really don't want to get rid of it, but I won't have a place to store it at home a month from now.

I'd want $300 cash, trade for a complete in box vectrex 3D imager unit or maybe some other offer I can't refuse.

If you are interested at all, let me know by PM or email and I will get some pictures for you ASAP. I would bring it to the gathering and help transfer it to your vehicle. I would throw in Fatal Fury or something too.

Nice. I'd be all over that but with a MAME cabinet on the way I'm already overloaded at the store. That's a great deal for someone though.

Also in case you're not on the NAVA email distribution a local member wants to unload a Mr. Do! cabinet. It's in pretty good shape, he's moving and needs to get rid of it. You'd have to pick it up from his house, about 10 minutes from the store. Best offer so far is $50.

Between Vectorman0's Neo and this Mr. Do! you could have your own arcade well underway in just one day and on the cheap!

"Normal" weekend is 11-9 Saturday, 12-5 Sunday. NAVA is noon to midnight, however.

I'm not closed at the end of the month. My team will be running things while I'm out at Classic Gaming Expo.
