In an interview with IGN, creative director Randy Greenback of Red Storm (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/RedStorm/) Entertainment explained the decision came down to familiarity and market share.

"First and foremost our experience level on the 360 is much higher, having gone through the development of GRAW (http://www.joystiq.com/tag/GRAW/) and GRAW2 multiplayer," he said. "The second factor is that the installed base is much larger, which translates to a greater opportunity for a wider audience to experience the game."

True Soldier will use the GRAW2 engine but will remain in the first-person view. The game allows for 16-player online co-op over eight missions as well as a Competitive Training mode, where you can choose from 1 of 3 target ranges for a 16-player match to see who can hit the most targets. "CT is also a great place for Clans to hang out and get some practice in before a big match," he said.

Lol, I don't think this game would go too well in any country but the USA.

Hey, I just watched "I, Video Game", and that was the first time I heard about that game. I'd buy it, it looks (and plays?) cool.

Not to be a "Debbie Downer" but "whoopdie doo dah!" The 360 is going to have an exclusive military shooter! I cant believe it! Honestly, I fear that the 360 needs to broaden its capabilities and game types. If all the system produces is shooters, racing, and sport games, then its fan base will sufffer. I fear that this is yet another military FPS(Dont we have like a bizillion of these already?) The 360 has a chance of taking the lead in the Next gen in the console war, but they have to stop thinking like a PC. I dont want yet another forgettable FPS of mindless killing, I want something original.

Why can't the 360 have both? People will buy what they want. Let the marketplace sort it out.

I feel the same way. I don't enjoy first person shooters or sports games, and the only racing games I like are Wipeout and the ones from Nintendo.

FPS's, Sports games, and racing games are probably some of the most profitable games. Add sandbox and kids games and you have 90% of the major money producing games. Xbox is solidifying it's base with these titles because these are what the mainstream want.

I love it when people start making up statistics out of thin air.
