Some levels in Jet Set Willy are really freaky.

Gotta agree with whoever said Seaman, it truly is the strangest gaming experience I've had. I'm not done mine yet (if I remember correctly they're in the stage just prior to frogman) but very, very strange.

I think "weird" in the case of computer/videogames is any videogame upon first experiencing it you kinda say "What the . . . what the fuck? What the FUCK is going on here!?!?" and you make faces at the unseen weirdos who made the game. Cho Aniki is probably the best example of that. I can't get past the whole nude muscle man concept and actually play the game.

There are other games, that are admitedly weird, but once you hear the scenario, you accept it and move on. For instance, Pac-man IS weird, but you say, "Oh, just try to eat up all the dots while avoiding the ghosts. The big dots let you eat the ghosts and the tunnel takes you to the other side of the screen. Eat the fruit for bonus points." Then it's like, "oh, that makes sense of a sort." After enjoying the hell out of it for a little while, you tend to forget how weird it is.

Whoever said Moonwalker, you're right, but remember ANY game with Mr. Jackson in it is weird, so we have to add Space Channel 5 to the list, I would think.

Someone make a top 20 weirdest games of all time thread!

What about that South Park rally game for the N64? One powerup makes Suddam Huesain (spelling?) pop up on the screen!

I-Mockery (http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/ninjagolf/ninjagolf-flashgame.php) seems to have done that already.

That is totally awesome.

Another candidate just fell into my hands today: Hakaioh: King of Crusher on import PS1.

Basically, you're a salaryman who gets bitten by some insect that wants to destroy the world, and you get turned into progressively larger kaiju monsters. The first stage just has you kicking the crap out of your apartment while your wife runs screaming, but eventually you become a sort of pseudo-Godzilla destroying helicopters and buildings and bridges and breathing fire and stuff. There's some suitably bizarre cutscenes between stages. Also, destroying stuff refills your health meter.

Only problem is it's a pretty bad game, but it's worth the $8 or so you'll pay if you manage to find a copy just for the weirdness.

Earthbound was, without a doubt, one of the strangest SNES games ever made. Still a good game, though.

It had a bunch of toilet humor, interesting monsters, psychidelic fighting backgrounds, monkeys who demanded a bribe from you, and a couple referrences to the Beatles.

I would agree with Seaman also. I remember when I was working at a game store a really strange guy always was telling me about his Seaman guy. One day he came in with his Dreamcast and game to show me his Seaman guy. When he plugged everything in he forgot to set the clock. Well as soon as he loaded up the game his Seaman died because of the clock being off. (Seaman has to eat every day or so, something like that)
This is the first and only time I have seen an adult cry over a video game. It felt like he lost his best friend. It was very uncomfortable.
