What are your favorite Japanese-only Dreamcast games?

Rainbow Cotton is my favorite import. (EDIT - It's the closest thing to Space Harrier, on the DC)

Trigger Heart Exelica, Karous, Under Defeat, Radirgy, Zero Gunner 2, Border Down, Shikigami no Shiro 2..... (I'm sure you can see a theme here ;) )
And for anything that doesn't involve rapidly dodging orange pulsating blobs of doom, I'd go for Guilty Gear X, Darkstalkers Chronicles and Capcom vs SNK 2001.

I've always enjoyed Under Defeat and Border Down the most. Capcom vs SNK 2 was an excellent port as well.

Rez - Everyone knows about it, but I better mention it anyway. Panzer Dragoon-style shooter with very cool graphics and music. Midnite Hi-Shooting!
Cool Cool Toon - Totally under-appreciated dance rhythm game from SNK (when they were still good). Really nice graphics and character designs and catchy old-style J-pop soundtrack (original songs). It's sort of like Ouendan/Elite Beat Agents on the DS only with a controller instead of touchscreen control.
Napple Tale - A really nice semi-3D platformer with a lot of RPG elements and once again great characters and design. It was supposedly developed as "girl's game," but I love it and I'm pretty sure I'm not gay.
Lack of Love - A wonderfully original game where you're an alien crash landed on Earth and must explore the natural world around you and interact with it in order to evolve your form and find and put back together the pieces of your infant ship.
FirePro Wrestling D - Dreamcast version of the long long running series from Spike and one of the best in the series, too. Even if you don't think you're a fan of wrestling games, this one has enough of a general beat'em up melee feel to it, that anyone will enjoy it.
Zero Gunner 2 - Manic helicopter shooting that breaks the old horizontal/vertical shooter mold by sending enemies at you from all directions, letting you fire in all direction, even move and fire in different direction, and dynamically changing the scrolling of the screen. One of the best shooters ever.
Under Defeat - Helicopter shooting again, but much more traditional this time, both in terms of attack patterns and scrolling (it's vertical) and general design. It feels like many of the great arcade shooters from the early '90s rather than the more recent style of shooter, but the graphics are probably the best I've ever seen in a shooter, or at least the most realistic.
Shikigami no Shiro 2 - A more modern style bullet-hell shooter with excellent patterns and multiple selectable characters. It features a gameplay gimmic where you're encouraged with high score chains and weapon powerups to move in close to enemies and their bullets, which is a lot of fun (Psyvariar 2 has a similar feature, but I think it's more developed out in Shikigami 2 and the overall game is also better; both are very good, though).

Also, the Gundam Federation Vs Zeon game is pretty tight.
Cosmic Smash FTW. :)
Second'd. I bought it for the unique packaging alone (a clear DVD-style case with translucent parchment insert, solid red disc showing through) and ended up loving the game. I still whip it out to this day, along with Rez and Headhunter, to show off the system in VGA. Shame my favorite games were JAP or EUR only :(

True dat! Perfect arcade port.
I'll also second Cool Cool Tune. I'll 5th or 6th Under Defeat.
Edit: forgot to pimp Bomber HehHe! Fun stuff.

Samba De Amigo 2000 - You can always use more maraca monkey shaking love!
Super Puzzle Fighter IIX - Worth it for the extra play modes if your a fan of the original game.
Lost Golem - Highly under rated puzzle type of game.

Psyvariar 2 - my favourite DC shooter, its about grazing bullets but unlike the poster below, i much preferred this over Shikigami No Shiro II although I like playing with the sword in that game which gives it a completely different feel. The music and the levels are great in this game, its the only
Under Defeat - another great shooter, no big score gimmick here just really solid action
Ikaruga - ok, this is the last shooter i'll list but these 3 are my favourites
Capcom vs SNK 2 - there's also a thousand other 2D beat-em-ups available but i'm not big into them so this one with its wide range of characters and pick up and play style suits me
Cosmic Smash - similar visuals to Rez and a very smart little arcade game which is a cross between tennis and breakout
Samba de Amigo 2000 - you don't need to have the maracas to enjoy this, one of the best rhythm games i've experienced and all the tunes are pure joy
Cool Cool Toon - a good rhythm game which can be incredibly tough in places, the only thing which lets it down is the music which is unfortunate

ACKK. I was prepared to love this one but the constantly self-centering of the main character drives me MAD.
An awesome game no one ever mentions is BOMBER HEHHE! It's a game where you place elplosives in buildings to destroy them.

Yeah, me too. It seems to be pretty hard to find. At least for a decent price. Luckily the Neo CD version works great in the Neo4All emulator on the DC!

I didn't know it was released on the DC -- I just play the NGCD version. Huh. Must look for it!

Samba 2000 hands down. I can perfect just about every song (if not all, after warming up) on Super Hard Mode (Original though, not that dumb wave your hands crap)
