Anyone have it? I'm looking for one complete with everything in Mint condition. Willing to pay $60-70 dollars for it. I'm not paying the ridiculous amounts people are asking on the Ebay Stores.

Sorry but I don't pay Ebay prices. That's what they go for on Ebay. Considering there is no Ebay involved I feel should get it cheaper than $95 dollars. I'm willing to pay $65.00-70.00 tops.
I have a Near Mint Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for PS2 (no manual though) I'm selling or trading. It has light surface scratches but plays flawlessly. This is a tough game to get in Mint condition anyways. Those run $125+ dollars on Ebay, but I'm only asking $90.00 for my copy. I saw just the disks themself sell for $85.00 and manuals alone sell for $20-25 bucks.

The auctions breaking 125+ had something with the game. (Fight Stick, memory card, ect.)
Oddy, you wouldn't pay more than 60-70 for MvC2 in your thread below.
Well, I know you got your copy from GS now.

Well I seen them sell high as $125.00 for complete copies, and a factory sealed sold for $450.00 recently...Mine isn't complete, since it doesn't have the manual, that's why I'm only asking $90.00 for it. I paid $75.00 with tax at my local Gamestop, so $15.00 profit is nothing. They sell it used without or without anything for $69.99. Theres Ebay stores that sell the game disk only for $85.00 alone.

I have Valkyrie Profile in MINT condition. But I want prices that exceed those you are see on ebay as I like the game and have play through it 3 times. Can't let it go for cheap - hate to loose this game (I pay only $30 back in 2003) and try to find it again.

Marvel vs Capcom 2 does not sell for over $75 -- and $75 would be on the high end of the spectrum. To say that its worth MORE than Valkryie Profile is just flat out wrong -- and you're saying yours doesn't even have a manual.
I own both MvC2 and Valkyrie, and know that Valkryie goes more $ time after time. Just ask around...and I'm not saying ask your GameStop store around the corner.

It's funny that he's not willing to pay Ebay prices for a mint & complete copy of Valkyrie Profile but he's wants people to pay complete copy Ebay prices for his manual-less MvC2.
A MvC2 without manual IS NOT worth $90-$125. Might as well return it to Gamestop because there's no way you're going to get more than what you paid for it.

You are wrong because theres someone that sells DISKS ONLY (no jewel case insert or manual) and is getting $85.00 each on a Ebay Store. The person had FOUR of them at one point and sold them all actually. And another person is just selling the actual jewel case and artwork for $25.00. I paid $69.99 plus tax for mine and asking $90.00 (15.00 profit) is not asking for much. There is only 10-15 copies on Ebay as we speak...minus the memory cards with all the cheats on the game.

Wrong again. Have you done your research? MvsC2 does sell for more than $90+ on Ebay. I seen a Ebay store with just the disks sell for $85.00 each and that person sold all four copies. Complete copies usually run $100+. If you get one at $75.00 then you are just lucky or a fool because the disk is scratched to helll Asking $90 for mine is not asking for a whole condering I only paid $75 for mine. I spent $15.00 is gas searching for the damn game.

Why do you want us to pay you more then it goes on ebay but you want VP for under ebay prices?
I have seen VP go for over 150 before and i have seen people charge 170+ in the ebays stores.

There are certian times when you are going to have to pay for what you want. Unfortunately these paticular games are problably 2 of them.
With Valkrye you wont get a mint complete one for 65.00- 70.00 unless someone which already knows the value has fallen on hard times and needs the money or it is missing instructions or it is very poor quality. It is not so much ebayish it just that most people that have one know the value and how hard it is to get. The ones that people that sell and don't know the value are swooped up by sellers looking to make a profit.
Marvel vs is hard to come by but there are a whole lot more of them and the chances on seeing this one at pawn shops or thrifts are pretty good. You just have to keep looking. I believe ebay price pushing on this one is mostly sellers more so than rarity and if people buy at that high price is because people just don't want the haggle of looking. I just don't believe the gamestop price or ebay for that matter on this one. I think 50.00 disc only is fair and more true.

Do your research before you "assume" anything. There was a Ebay store that was selling "disk only" copies of Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for $85.00 each. They had four of them and sold all four of them. Anyways...moving on

Valkyrie Profile ran steady at $75-85 range on Ebay. There are BINs $125+ because people like Raregamergirl (aka ultimate_video_game_connection) hoard up every single copy to control the market value on the game....total bullshit. Im paying $70.00 tops for a mint copy, end of story.

You sure give eBay a lot of credit for a guy who wants to buy at well below eBay values, sell at higher than eBay prices (nobody in their right minds uses eBay stores as a reference), and who is no longer a registered user (http://myworld.ebay.com/comics724365/).
By the way, you're making a great first impression. Keep it up.

Okay I will settle this for everyone. I have sold 3 or more copies of both games in the last year or two. I get $85 for a complete copy of Marvel vs Capcom 2 on ebay (PS2 version). The xbox version goes for less. I have sold Valkyrie Profile for $120 without a manual on ebay several times. So if you want prices a little less than ebay reduce it by 10%. Because that is what you pay ebay to sell it. $75 and $105 seem like fair non ebay prices to me. Valkyrie Profile for anything less than $100 is a good deal. I'll buy as many copies of Valkyrie Profile as you can get for $80. If you buy them at $60 you will make $20 per copy!

Okay guys. You seem to agree comics724365 has been making unreasonable requests. Please lay off a little, and if his requests are that unreasonable, he will eventually realize it from the lack of response he gets.
Also, posting a link to your ebay feedback that happens to be the same name as here is hardly revealing sensitive personal information.
I also locked your other two want threads. You are only allowed one each of Buying and Selling topics, so please keep it that way.

Lol... while I may be new here, and i know we were told to lay off...
GIVE ME A BREAK! Someone should sell me one? Come on, I wouldnt sell you anything with that attitude.. nor would I tell you where I saw one for $65 in the case with manual. You need to learn to relax.... ask the question and if someone has it they will approach you with it! Dont come in making demands... FWIW everything (all 2 things ive bought/sold here) was easy and fair, and even if it were on par with ebay, who cares? The net is global and if they can get the same price as on ebay for it, dont whine about fees or raise a fit because YOU dont want to pay that much. Say thanks but no thanks, and keep looking. As Vectorman said, everyone just needs to chill. The link to eBay will stay because there is no private information revealed, and anyone can go look it up if they wanted to anyhow. No permission needed either to post it because nothing wrong has been done. It's not as if it reveals a phone number or address.
And personally, there's no way you'll get it for under eBay price unless someone needs the real quick money or mis-lists it there with a BIN...
(so pretty much what DWJ just said)

First off I do not even use that Ebay account anymore...and the person that found out or looked up that information is really a lowlife. Congrats loser! I have another Ebay account which I buy and sell on with 900+ positive feedbacks. I will not give it out to anyone unless they are serious about making a sale or trade.
Second...I am looking to purchase a Valkyrie Profile complete in near mint/mint for $70 dollars tops...no more than that.
Lastly if you don't have anything related to what I'm looking for or not being reasonable I will not answer.
End of story.

Is it me or has this become ridunkulous?
I really wish we didn't get so many people like this around -- it makes it extremely difficult to have a sensible conversation.
I think you have made enough posts stating that you want to pay "$70 DOLLARS AND NO MORE!!!!" for a copy of Valkryie Profile. At this point, the polite thing to do would be:
1. Stop arguing. Most people here are adults over 25
2. Bump your WTB thread once a day, as allowed by forum rules
3. Continue shopping around, you might get lucky elsewhere and find a deal
Also, please remember this IS a collectors forum. 99% of us DP members live and breathe games, and it often is not the best place to look for a "lowball" price on a hard to find title.
Best of luck!

I am a collector as well. I'm not arguing. I simply stated what I wanted and what price I'm willing to pay. Take it or leave it...Doesn't bother me one bit. Besides video games are a bad investment so I'll come across a Valkyrie Profile for less than $70 dollars sooner or later.

comics724365,
I'm really trying to understand this conflict that has arisen between you and other DP members in this thread from your POV, but I must admit it's a little difficult. If you went onto a classic car forum, for example, and posted a message saying you were looking for...let's say...a 57 Chevy in mint condition for $40,000 when it's actually worth $60,000, you'd probably get a reaction similar to the one you've received here.
I don't doubt you are a collector as you claim to be, but perhaps others here have a bit more expertise on fair market value for highly sought after games and also are aware of price fluctuations and average value for said games over a long period of time.
As for games being a bad investment, I think that's really off base. If you know what to look for and are knowledgeable about the market you can amass a collection that will definitely increase in value as time goes on. Regardless, if the games you buy give you enjoyment, then they're worth it, regardless of their eventual monetary value. Good luck in your search.

I am a collector and proud of my collection of 800+ video games ranging from Atari 2600 to Playstation 3.
A game is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. For instance Valkyrie Profile on Ebay has BIN's for $125+. Are they actually selling that much...? Probably not....Last several auctions I looked at ended between $80-95 range. I'm not going to pay more than $70.00 for a near mint/mint copy considering Digit Press doesn't have selling/listing fees so there can be some kind of lean way here on the forums.

If you have 900+ Ebay feedback like you say you do I'm sure that you are completely aware that after listing fees, final value fees, packaging and handling costs as well as paypal fees(if applicable) that selling things on Ebay typically costs about 10%.
Click here (http://tinyurl.com/24ggft) to see all completed VP listings on Ebay over the past month whereby you can see the cheapest a complete copy has sold for is $90 and the average final selling price is over $100.
Even after subtracting the 10% you would still be right around $100. Besides that you can't really say 10% off is fair because there would be no incentive to sell it outside of Ebay. Why would someone choose to sell for the exact amount they would likely get on Ebay after costs only without the potential to get a whole lot more on the right day with the right bidders.
So asking other gamers and collectors to sell you a pretty sought after item for a good 30% off of what they could sell it to everyone else for while being a pretentious jerk is pretty fucking stupid. Wouldn't you say?

Yes I am fully aware of Ebay and what it cost to sell on there so I do not need to know all that...After Ebay and Paypal it comes out to about 13% actually.
I don't care about Ebay and what the stuff sells for alright. It varies on a day to day basis. Example) Contra Force for NES complete and mint ended once at $30 bucks which I bought, but Ebay Stores are charging $110+...so I got a deal and that's what I'm looking for.
This is not a Ebay forum. Theres a separate forum made for that, go post there. I'm simply asking around to buy a Valkyrie Profile for $65-75 dollars. If not, I'll just pass on it. No worries.

I myself was kinda trying to get VP for the PS1 but I dont care if it's not what you want or not there's a cheaper resolution to this squabble. Go out and get the PSP version. It would save a lot of people here the headaches you've been giving them. Reposting how much you want to pay for said item in every post is ridiculous and annoying. But since you are some what a cheapass gamer. There's a place where you can ask about specific deals. WWW.cheapassgamer.com they have a forum for specific deals but you'll probably get laughed at.

Icarus...good luck getting $70 dollars on your FVII....cuz they aren't going for that much anymore on Ebay. I seen them end between $35-50, and with BIN's at $50.00.

Okay, here is the deal.
comics, you can ask whatever price you want and should be able to do so without being met with anything but a friendly "you might not be able to get it so cheap" comment. However, the problems arise when you act like you are entitled to this low price. Someone posting to offer you the game, is trying to help. You need to be friendly and leave it at "thanks, but no thanks". Someone wanting to get $xxx for their game is no different than you wanting to pay $xx, so you need to respect them and they need to respect you.
Also, the better your attitude here, and the more mature you act, the more business you will get. I say this, because this thread may have lost you potential customers. Don't take offense to this, take it as constructive criticism and try to do things better in the future.
That said, I am locking this and asking we all start fresh keeping what I said above in mind. You can remake this topic if you so please, but I am expecting better this time.
