What genres do you prefer? There's a lot to choose from in the import scene. Here are a few off the top of my head:
For something retro, you may want to look into all the Famicom Mini games that didn't get localized for the US.
For some solid Nintendo platformers, there's the Densetsu no Stafi (Legend of Stafi) series, which star a cute starfish and were really popular in Japan.
If you happen to like the Fire Emblem games that came out in the US for GBA, you should also like Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi, which was the first of three Fire Emblems to appear on GBA (even if Nintendo of America released the second as simply "Fire Emblem" in the US). It's also where Roy of Smash Bros. originates from.

-Elevator Action Old & New (jp)
-Alien Hominid (euro)
-Ninja Cop (Import version of Ninja 5-0... not nearly as hard to find and a little cheaper. Would be alot cheaper if the euro wasn't slaughtering the USD at the exchange rate)
-Darius R (jp)
-Famicom Mini: Super Mario Bros. 2 (Lost levels!!! jp)
-Nekketsu collection Vol 1 - 4 (All the Kunio Famicom games on 4 gba carts... If you don't mind them squished but very playable)
I think there are a few more but, I can't recall right now.

Boku no Kabutomushi is one of my favorite GBA games. You can catch and keep various beetles as pets, as well as entering them in fighting and racing contests. It's a little like Pokemon, except that you don't fight the beetles -- you lure them out of trees with sticky jelly and catch them with a net. If you have an inordinate fondness for beetles (like me) then you might want to try this out. Being an RPG it has a fair amount of Japanese text, but since it's aimed towards kids the characters used are pretty basic.

Is Boundish worth a pickup for that price?

The Goemon collection. It has both geomon 1 and two on it with a menu for all of the mini games!

Boundish is pretty boring IMO. Not even worth $12. Put that money towards Dotstream; that game is wicked cool.

Orbital is really cool too. I'd even say timeless. One of my favorite newer games.
