After much thought and consideration I decided to get a PSP now. It would be nice to see the redesign but Sony "may" reveal it in a month at E3 and then, it may not even go into stores until Christmas or whatever. The price drop will be in forever too.

I want to get a new one because I don’t want to have to deal with possible broken or less than new things. I am very careful with my electronics and I don’t know if the person who sells it to me would be as careful.

I also want to get one I can “fix” as previously mentioned in my previous post: http://www.digitpress.com/forum/showthread.php?t=101953
I think that you can dowgrade the ones up to 2.7 and then after that you’re kinda screwed until those people much smarter than me figure out how to crack them.

So what would be my best shot at getting a slightly older firmware model? Gamestop, Walmart, Target, K-Mart?

Thanks in advance,

Jeremy

you need to go to a store that you think hasn't sold a psp since before the holiday season/

chances are anywhere you go now will have sold out of their stock with older firmware and is getting the most current batch of units. ebay is probably your best bet
