I know this sounds real sleazy but hear me out. I've got this modded Xbox (Xecutor 2) that has an On/Off switch. I played a few games of Halo 2 online when I got it with the mod chip turned off, so I know it's still good and hasn't been banned. I'm just curious though if it's possible to get this thing on Live with the chip + hacks enabled and NOT get banned? It's not that I plan on playing on Live like this. I'm really just wondering if it's possible to do it with this particular Xbox since I bought it pre-moded and don't know what it's capable of.

I think there's an option that lets you boot to the official Xbox dash while in the XBMC dash. I guess this is how you play online with those trainers and hacks enabled but from what I've read, a modded Xbox will get be detected as soon as it logs into the Xbox dashboard and get banned. So how do people get around this if they want to cheat on Live?

I've played against moders before in Halo 2 and have seen them do crazy stuff like have modded sniper rifles and wacky jumping abilities (not superbouncing but being able to jump off the map at will). Just wondering how it's possible to do it with my Xbox or if something special has to be done with it, like flash it with a new bios or something.

If you take that xbox on live with the chip on, that will be the last time you see live w/ that box. Modders use alternate methods of cheating on live.

Yeah, I know. That's why I'm asking what exactly do they do to cheat on Live. I was under the impression that if your Xbox wasn't on Live before the mod was done (like mine), it's possible to cheat on Live. I was just wondering how they do it.

Ancient chineese secret....

Confucus say: "Those who cheat on XBL find ways to modify data that isn't protected by Microsoft's signatures. Man who push piano down mine shaft, likely to get A flat minor."

You can still be caught and banned by other means. Other XBL users can report you if they suspect you are cheating, similar to reporting if you make offensive remarks. Do this a couple times and you can bet that you'll be monitored by ninjas the next few games you play.

You'll get banned the moment you sign on with a hacked bios. There is really no way around it. The reason why they let you access the original dashboard through xbmc is so you can manage your saves and change settings. The whole point of having the on/off switch is so you can still play on live.

So are you saying it's impossible then? I've seen people playing with mods before, so I know it can be done. Just don't know how.

If there is a way, it's better that you don't know.

There are two ways to do it, artificially modifying your network connection or modifying unprotected data. It's not a good idea for me to discuss it much beyond that.

I agree. This is not a forum for cheats, but technical info. Is it possible? Sure.

Do I know how? no.

Do I have an idea how it's likely done? Yeah.

Am I sharing that? No.

Why? Because I don't want to.

try xbox-scene. That's where the hardcore Xbox stuff is.

you will need modified downloadble maps. so none of the maps that are stock on the disc, just the ones you download. You can either mod them yourself or download modded ones. With your chip on you FTP to your xbox and replace the original map files with the modified ones on your hard drive. Disable your mod. When you run halo 2 off the disc it will load up the modified maps since they are on the hard drive. that is how people cheat. and they get banned with the quickness now...so I wouldn't do it if i was you but yes you can cheat.
