PM: ThousandYearDoor and the game cube problem

ok a friend of mine is borrowing thousand year door and shes been having the probem where the game cube wont boot up any more with this game after shes been playing it a few hours now.

i see its a common problem on the internet but the fix they list isnt working (open and close the lid untill it works). its a Thousand year door best sellever game and a pokemon limited edition platnum game cube.

any permanent fixes?

I would try diffrent games to see if they work first. Since this is a disc based system it would be the problem with the GCN and not the game itself.

If it was the game then check to see if the Wii supports the game or if the game uses more resources then other games.
