My husband's been cracked out on this game recently. He's completed the offline mode 100% but since Forza just came out there is literally noone playing this game online. Just thought maybe I'd see if anyone from DP was interested in playing a few online matches.

For those of you who haven't heard of it, Import Tuner Challenge is the sequal to Tokyo Extreme Racer for Dreamcast. It's an arcade style street racing game that takes place on the highways of Tokyo. Races aren't judged by who crosses the finish line first, but rather by the distance you put between yourself and your opponent. You and your opponent have HP meters essentially, that go down faster as you get further and further apart. The meters also decrease when your car takes damage from scraping the wall or crashing into other cars. Winning is judged not only on how fast you drive, but also by how well you drive.

I have a similar problem -- I've got 100% offline but couldn't get the other 180 achievements for the online stuff as there is now nor has ever been anyone online, as far as I've seen.

My problem is I play the NTSC-J version, Shutokou Battle X. AFAIK it's not compatible with Import Tuner Challenge. Sucks.

Oobgarm plays this pretty regularly. The last few times i've seen him on live he's been playing it. Send him a PM daria... or just wait for him to post in here.

Yes.

I'm up for online matches, sure. But the only time I'm playing is after 10PM. Send me a friend request and we might be able to get something going-maybe even fill out each other's remaining achievements over time. That'd be nice.

Once I got a bit of steam behind me, I blew through this game like no other-I lost a total of 15 races the entire game. And that's with 450+ wins, too. It was pretty easy, but there's always something about the Tokyo Xtreme games that I just love. Just don't go back and try to play the TXR3 on PS2...blech.

The TXR games on PS2, including the DRIFT games, have been budget titles. Ubisoft could have had the name changed to differentiate itself, but it was most likely a licensing issue since all the other games were by Crave.

Also, Street Supremacy on PSP is a TXR game. Not the same, as it's a lot of drag-race type stuff, but kinda fun.

Yeah I played street supremacy, I have been meaning to buy it, but I rarely see that one. Ah good times... I can't wait to pick this up... sweeet!

This is one of the games I want to get whenever I get a 360. That probably won't be for a while, though.

picked this up today at lunch I played it a bit, but can I race online without having spent extensive time on the offline game winning cars?

You can, but almost every single person on there has their vehicle maxed out. I learned that myself.

If we race online at some point, I'm all for setting a limit to vehicle BHP to make it fair.
