Halo 3 achievement list released. (Spoilers, of course!!!)

Looks like they concentrated on Single Player achievements, more than they did Multiplayer. Honestly - this looks like 1000 easy achievement points.

Beat me to the punch.

If H3 Legendary is ANYTHING like H2's Legendary that won't be gotten by but a few people.

And since its showing that the skulls are coming back, those are never easy to find either.

Some of the Mulit achievements don't look TOO bad. But I think of all the H3 beta playing I did, I only got 1 double kill with the laser (that wasn't in a vehicle).

I think they went easy on the online achievements simply to avoid achievement whores ruining the online matches just for the sake of getting "X" achievement. We've all seen this "buddy-fucking" mentality time after time on Xbox Live...and with Halo 3 it'll probably reach its peak. Taking online achievements out of the equation should minimize some of this.

Oh thank the good dude on that one. That's one of the reasons I stopped playing Gears online, I certainly didn't want it to happen to H3.

People are apparently quite pissed at Halo 3's achievements, how they arent designed around multiplayer as much as other games.

But yeah I agree, seeing Gears of War's multiplayer which is so achievement focused I think Halo 3's multiplayer might benefit. People can get so bitchy about their achievements it gets annoying.

I'm a big fan of achievements, this list is pretty good in my opinion. And seeing how it is one of the Xbox 360's biggest games I understand Bungie's position.

Developers have started to realize they can't alienate 4 million xbox players with online only achivements.

~11 million 360's, ~6 million on XBL. You do the math...

Since Halo 3 now has confirmed 4 player online co-op, I wonder how hard it will be to beat Legendary with 4 people.

Looking over the list again, it looks like they've added a bunch of more achievements (up to 49 now) and basically stripped away online achievement values (making all of them worth 5 points apiece). Thats a nice feeling considering how hostile and crazy Halo 3 will be once it launches.

Now to just figure out what in the hell they mean by scoring over 15,000 in the campaign meta-game mode for each mission.

I agree fully, I am happy that they have basically no multiplayer achievements, it's a good sign and I wish Epic would have done it with Gears but I do like the fact it's mostly single player achievements and even though I am not that big of a Halo fan, I am high hopes for Halo 3,

I suspect the 15000 score is to do with the 4 player co-op and maybe how good you do, but I am not sure look forward to finding out :)

Easy 1000 points? Lol. Not.

I've never, ever stuck 5 people in a match in Halo 2, having played 3000+ games. It just doesn't happen. And Legendary is a bitch. This isn't Gears of War on Insane. In H2, it was damn near impossible, since the AI cheated so badly.

Yeah, about 800 of those can be had "easily" (if you put in the time), but by no means is this a list like Madden 06's or something. And thank god for no 5000 games achievement or something. 10,000 kills in Gears of War? Err...no thanks.
