I was just looking at this article on Kotaku (http://kotaku.com/gaming/media-create/simple-2000-the-japanese-software-chart-270787.php) about the weekly software sales charts in Japan -- Trusty Bell (Eternal Sonata) comes in 2nd. Interesting!

PS3 gets 2 in the top 20 (with Ninja Gaiden Sigma no surprise, especially since relatively few in Japan played NG/NGB on the Xbox) -- I find Call of Duty 3 to be a surprise, though.

Look at all the DS software, too -- very nice to see Ouendan 2 still in the top 10 after the first was sadly ignored in Japan.

Anybody tried Trusty Bell yet? I've played through the demo (on JP XBL), what a gorgeous game. Not sure how it'll play out over a full game, but the demo sure was enticing.

I played the demo, its nice I hope it sells well in the states.. It looks promising to me, played well and had nice music, the controls were easy to pick up and play.

Bring on the Japanese RPG's for the 360!

It seems MS learned their lesson from the last gen. Was there even one JRPG on the Xbox? I know there were none released in the US.

I have to say that the lack of JRPGs was the one thing I didn't like about the Xbox and the fact that the 360 is already addressing this is a huge step forwards in my book.

I don't think that it was MS' choice to not have any JRPGs but rather no one wanted to make any for them.

I enjoyed the demo alot, the graphics were really nice and vibrant with a subtle touch of cel shading. Music was great (a battle theme that wont seem to get too old), and speaking of battles the battle system is unique enough to draw me in.

I for one will most likely be buying the game on release or shortly after (if its a long quest, if its less than 20 hours its a rental).
