I purchased 2 Gold 72 Pin connectors on ebay, one I installed worked fine but games took forever to pull out, another one just shows a black screen with white lines going through, I hear a screw rattling around in that one, but am sick of taking it apart (took me a while to get spring to lock) any help?

I've bought probably around 25 or so over the last year and once and a while one will be broken "out of the box". It's just happens sometimes.

I've seen them broken right out of the box rather frequently. It's unfortunate, but what can you do? You're better off trying to find someone local that you can buy them from, so you can test them before you buy them.

In other news, your games are taking forever to pull out because the new pin connectors are super-duper tight. You'll want to wiggle the cartridge back and forth slightly while you're pulling it out. If you pull it straight out, you're likely to damage the pins, and giving that little wiggle makes it a bit easier to remove, to boot.
