Man I had to send my 360 back in for repair. They gave me a replacement unit. So I go to hook up the av cables and I noticed a little switch barely noticable on the side of the av part that plugs in the back of the 360 that says hdtv-tv. I laugh my ass off because I been playing the 360 for over a year set to regular tv.

When I set the switch to hdtv man it was a nice difference The 360 know running in 1080i even doom HA HA.

Thats what I get for setting up without reading the manual. I set up so many console I took it for granted that I know how to set up the 360. Once I initally setup my 360 I never needed to go to the back of the 360 so I never was able to find out until mine broke. Almost 2 years and I never seen it:)

I am no graphic nut and was happy while it was set tv it is a nice difference. Time go go read the 360 and ps3 manuals thourghly. I wonder how much other stuff I miss out on not thourghly reading a manual?

I think it took me a couple years before I figured out that you have to go into the PS2 system browser to set it to surround sound.

Wasn't there a big ol' white sticker on it with "hdtv / tv" printed? That would have been another clue :p

I was delirious from standing in line overnight(launch Unit). I don't recall seeing a sticker at all. I assumed that since it was component it was plug and play sortof auto scaling to the tv.

Also the switch itself doesn't really stick out. Now xbox live doom looks letterboxed. Plus the whole video scence waa too confusing. Some saying that some games only play at certian resolutions. Now if I hit the info button on the remote every thing shows up(at least so far) in 1080i.
