Sorry to be dumb, but could someone please inform me what this is?? I looked at the auction and was like WOW thats pretty sweet and even debated on buying it. But is there a reason i shouldnt?? ive never heard of a nes guide?

It appears to be the NES section of the Digital Press collector's guide. Not sure where he got the cover picture from on the binder but it's probably stolen too. Nice find to the original poster. The guys who compiled the guide will probably like to have a word with this guy.

That is my collection pics in fact. The rat bastard is a jerk too, I have already emailed him today. He said "that is was in his living room from his couch" Funyy how it has been on my site for years like that www.nationalgamedepot.zoomshare.com, very bottom of home page.
I think he may have added some of my game list which is over 100 pages in to the DP stuff as well. I already contacted Joe via PM and asked him to report is as well. This guy has already sold several of these and needs to be stopped!!!

haha, I love it!! I sent ebay another complaint a few hours ago and haven't heard back, you know how slow ebay is with anything. Hopefully this guy will get what he deserves.
Makes me even more angry that he claims actually was his own picture on the cover, stupid prick.

It didn't stay up long. Bidding has already ended but I didn't see any bids on it.

If you look at his completed auctions he has sold 6 of them in the last 30 days for various increasing amounts. Hopefully he won't list anymore but I doubt that will be case unless ebay warns or suspends hiim.

My friend got sued for selling PDF's of printed material on ebay. Had to bay $100 so they wouldn't bring him to court.
I would sue if I was joe. Or at least have a lawyer type up a letter and send it to that guy, get the money he has made into your pocket plus a fine.

Joe did you ever think about a seperate NES guide? NES seems to be the fan favorite these days. Few extra pics, mostly the same material in the DP and viola! payday.

Check the link in the first post to get his latest version. It has NES, SNES, and N64. Also has the 2007 "prices". It looks like he ditched the original PDF files and just gives the info. Still a rip-off.

At least he stopped using my picture on the front and stopped using the DP guide. Still a freakings scam but at least it isn't really affecting anyone of us know. Even though I am sure he copied the info straight over, at least he actually had to do some work this time.

I still say he is on to something.
A short DPlite with a focus on the re-sellers games with a few pics would be cheap to print and would sell well. The people buying these guides are looking for prices on the games they can actually find and flip on. All you really need is NES,SNES,PS1 and the best of the other major systems. He would not be able to compete with a real guide.
If you can't beat em join em THEN beat em.

They don't care, guides like these get sold quite often on eBay and never get pulled.
