If you don't have an atariage account, go to the attached thumbnail part of this post. The thumb nail has one of the 5 screen shoots. The rest are too big for posting in terms of memory.

The 2nd post by Jetboot back on that page has the pictures of electrop 7800 artwork with it being levels mocked up thanks to Amy Hennig providing the copies of the artwork. The game was supposed to be a Robocop type side scroller.

Amy Hennig did the art for the game and she said " I don't think there's an existing copy of the game out there, unless the programmer kept one (neither of us worked for Atari; we were both contractors). The game was finished, btw, I think it was just so late in the 7800's life that Atari decided not to publish it. Too bad -- I think it was a pretty good game, for its time."

The artwork I saw on the post looked like Electrocop borrowed alot from nes games.

Damn, that looks good! I totally would have bought that back then. I don't understand why it didn't get published, other than the fact that the Tramiels were cheap bastards. This kind of game was precisely what the 7800 needed to compete with the NES.

WTF, you have to log in there now in order to see pictures that people post?? Anyone care to repost them here?

It appears so. Sorry about it.

These are great, thanks for posting this here, I would have missed it. This would have been a great addition to the 7800 library.. but probably would have been too late to make any difference in the market had it come out.

Thanks for posting the pic. Looks great, although nothing like the Lynx version. Hopefully there's still a prototype of the game floating around somewhere (and not in a landfill)

There is a reason for lynx and 7800 differences of electro cop according to the atari age post I read with it being amy's last e-mail being posted on the atari 7800 message board. Amy typed "I think Atari had another team working on the Lynx version simultaneously, but they didn't share anything about that game with us. That's why there's no real similarity between the games. All we knew was they wanted a Robocop-ish sidescroller. So we made one!(with ninjas and giant brains; go figure)"
