Oldergames.com is going to be selling their "limited edition" games and not saving any for show members. I luckily got my order in, but those who were waiting to get these at CGE this year may loose out(which would suck) I wanted to make a separate post to let others know that all numbered copies of these games are being sold online. I just wanted to give fellow forum members and lurkers a heads up. It would be a shame for someone to wait for the show on these only to be disappointed.

EDIT.

Thanks Swlovinist for bringing this to my attention. I am in talks with oldergames.com for exact info. There were supposed to be around 25 copies of each for public purchase at the show......

After much consideration and thought we decided to remove the lockout
on ordering these two titles due to the repeated requests from our customers.

We have always believed in making our games available to anyone who
wishes to purchase a copy and seeing as most DP'ers -ala- most CGE
attendee's are aware of our upcoming launches and pre-order system
we felt this was a way we could give everyoone a fair shot.

I honestly apologize to anyone who feels that this is not loyal to the
CGE crowd. We are launching all eight of these products at the show
and they are show exclusives. The only difference is that this year
we implemented a pre-order system to cover expenses and trip
costs and to make these products available to everyone who wants
them.

We have always supported CGE and always will. If you look at it from
a non-attendee's perspective I think you could reason why it was
our decision to do this. There are many people who may never be
able to attend CGE and we have always done our best to support
the hobby and community whether it's someone coming to our booth
at CGE or some guy living in the middle of nowhere. :)

The only thing that bothered me a little was the fact that some were put aside for the show are now gone, making it no longer connected to the CGE2K7. It is things like this that make the Classic Gaming Expo look bad, although unintentional. I remember the whole NEX and Beggar Prince fiasco two years ago, and have to say that the same connections can be made. There may even be some people who will consider not going due to the fact that they can get the game now online. For something that was promised for the show, the decision to back out of that at the last month before the show starts could be damaging for the show. While the games are now available to people who were not attending the show, the ones who have put aside valuable time and resources to get games like this might be screwed if they dont view the forums alot. Changing the way limited edition games are distributed at the last minute in my opinion is bad for the show. I ultimately support the games being released, I support the show. I support both oldergames and CGE. I just disappointed on not seeing this a show exclusive, something that makes me go to these shows in the first place.

As of today only four copies of each remain.
