Ok, I just got back from a local TRU here in Houston.

I hit the gaming section and what do I see? A discount bin chock full of GBA, DS, Xbox, Gamecube, and PS2 games. All marked $9.99 and under. I then make my way to the DS section and to my surprise, they have all the games marked BUY 2, GET 1 FREE!

I asked the guy if this included the marked down games and he said "YEAH." Long story short, I walk out with:

Tomb Raider Legend
Freedom Wings
*Bust-a-Move DS

*edit 7/1/07- Turns out I forgot I already owned Bust-a-Move DS, so I exchanged it for a $9.98 copy of Tony Hawk's American Sk8Land.

All for a whopping $21..and they had other games that I wouldn't mind going back and picking up as well.

So, check out your local TRU....but be warned this might be a regional thing...or even just this specific location I went to, so your milage may vary!

Today was the last day of this sale.
You can still do it on the website until midnight.

Note that if you do it on the website, you are restricted to 3x per order (in other words 9 games; any added after that won't get the discount).

I am sorry I missed this one. The good thing is I picked up konami arcade classics for 19.99. The price dropped even at gamestop. Woo hoo

I took this ad to Circuit City a few days ago and managed to snag Lunar Knights, Puzzle Quest, and Chocobo Tales for 60. Checking CAG every now and again is a good idea if you buy new games, I knew about this sale two weeks before it started.

I got these at my local TRU on Thursday night for $19.96 total:

Bust-a-Move DS
Nanostray
Tomb Raider: Legend

I got the last copies of Bust-a-Move and Tomb Raider: Legend. They had several copies of Nanostray left, though. The store had all the $9.99 or less games in a bin and I spent a good 10 minutes or so looking through it, making sure I didn't miss anything good. Unsurprisingly, the selection was pretty much down to the budget and kiddy/licensed crap, though. The other DS games they had included X-Men: The Official Game, and several casino and kiddy games.

Damn, I missed this one. I'm always on the lookout for cheap Xbox games to stock up on. I looked on their website, but their prices were pretty lousy, so maybe it wasn't worth the effort to begin with.
