is it safe to use an american wii psu on a japanese wii

as the title asks

the difference between a us and a japanese psu is the voltage, the american one is 120 the japanese is 100.

any assistance or info on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

As long as the output volts/amps and the plug match I don't see any problem.
