Like I said, im thinking about buying a lot of 2600 stuff through E-bay, considering I found out today that the old one, games included, were thrown out a few years ago, and no one even told me about it...

Anyway, a lot of the auctions mention that the A/V cables or RF Modulator don't work, and that the seller doesn't even know if the console works anymore. I don't know whether or not this is worth the gamble...

Has anyone else experienced something like this? I'm not sure whether or not to go for it...

Don't. There are plenty of working auctions that pop up plus plenty of trading sites to get better deals.

This is a great time to buy, and I'm not just saying that because I have a lot up on ebay now. Atari 2600 eBay values are dropping like a Genesis sports cart the day after Christmas.

if you are interested I've got an extra 2600 (a few different ones actually) and some doubles on games that I'll part with for not much more than shipping, since they are just taking up space at my place. PM if you are interested
