View Full Version : Anybody heard of the Panasonic U1?

It appears to be a line of Japanese word processors that also plays games. I bought about 6 games for it off of YAJ a few months ago. They were all Mahjong and card games, but it came with Tetris too. I'll post pictures of the boxes when I have a chance, but here's some screenshots from the auction itself:

The games come on 3.5" disks, but I think they're the weird Japanese 2HD or whatever format, so I haven't had any luck getting a PC to read them. Does anybody know anything else about the system?

Just yesterday I wondered briefly for a moment if an old Sony-made Mac SE lookalike word processor had some games...that's interesting.

Would be interesting if an action game turned up, but still, that's something.

It's less crazy than the (rumored) idea of games in a movie projector's control panel, certainly. Games everywhere!

Puyo Puyo was built into a word processing machine, I think it was from Brother.
