I want to know what all of your console manufacturer alliances are! So based on your collection post the percentage of games devoted to a particular company.
Just to clarify, say if you have 100 games in your collection and 50 are for the Gamecube, 20 are for the DS and 30 for the PS2 you'd be 70% Nintendo and 30% Sony. K?
Oh and personally I considered my PC games as being an ally with Microsoft.
I was really surprised when I figured out mine so I made a topic. Here's my alliance, now how about you?
Nintendo = 35%
Sega = 22%
Microsoft = 20%
Sony = 19%
Atari = 4%

1.2% Bandai
1.2% Mattel
9.9% Microsoft
1.4% NEC

Seriously, can't count 'coz I ain't at home, but it's probably SNK or Sega. Leaning towards Sega.

I'm working on expanding my Saturn collection soon, so eventually it should be more like 98%/2% ;)

Dunno.. I bought for all my consoles equally. So when it was SNES/TG16/Genesis time, whatever good game came out for whichever one, that's the one I got. There are some difference in the numbers naturally but it's not by any preference. Zero alliances here :)
Oh, and I have zero idea how many games I got. It'd be impossible for me to count since they're spread all over 2 or 3 locations :(

out of about 952 games, here is greatest to least
Nintendo (nes,snes, N64...ect.) = 286
sega (genesis, dreamcast, sega cd...ect.) = 211
Atari (2600, 7800, jaguar) = 168
sony (PS1,2,3,PSP) = 165
Microsoft (xbox 1, 360) = 38
3DO = 32
Intelivision = 27
neo-geo (MVS, NGPC) = 13
TI99 = 8
TG-16 = 4
all these numbers really mean is price and availability in my area. I prefer collecting sega, I prefer playing sony, but I love all of my systems (except the TI99, I wanna trade or sell). I have so many for nintendo because NES games are all over the place so that just happens to be what I end up finding and buying.

But what about who makes the game in the first place?
Say for example you have 10 Megadrive games and 10 Gamecube games. You'd see this as 50% MD and 50% GC. But what if those 10 GC games consist of Billy Hatcher, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Heroes, Super Monkey Ball, F-Zero GX etc. Basically 10 games coded by Sega (and yes, I blatantly couldn't think of 10 Sega GC games LOL. D'oh).
Surely this'd make you a 100% Sega fan?
Just like I'm sure many PStwo owners couldn't give a toss about Sony, but absolutely love the Cave and SNK conversions.

Out of the around 900 games I owned a few months ago:
Atari - 6.0%
Microsoft - 0.1%
Nintendo - 44.0%
Sega - 35.4%
Shin Nihon Kikaku - 0.6%
Sony - 13.6%
I've gotten about 30 more games since the last update so there's a 3.33% margin of error overall. I'm a Nintendo fanboy :( :(
Actually, it's just Nintendo games pop up the most, then Sega and Atari. Sony is out there along with Microsoft but not with the selection and pricing I'm willing to pay too often. If you throw PC games into the list then it makes a good 100 game dent but I haven't kept too much track of them.

It would take too much time to go through exact counts (although, I do need to an exact one, one of these days), but here are my rough estimates:
Total games: 2,400
Nintendo games: 1,500
Sega games - 450
Other (Channel F, Intellivision, Atari's, 3D0, etc..) - 350
So Nintendo is my highest at about 62%

Nintendo 33%
Sega 30%
Atari 10%
Sony 6%

It's been a long time since I've really kept track of my collection but, while the quantities may have changed, I imagine these percentages are close enough:
31% Atari
31% Commodore
10% Sega
6% Sony
6% Coleco

I figure 3% is a good cutoff point, so we'll just call the rest (NEC, TI, etc.) "Other".

Sega & Sony, followed by Nintendo. Lots of Playstation, Genesis, Master System and Dreamcast stuff. Only a handful of NES & SNES. If it wasn't for the piles of quality GBA titles, Nintendo wouldn't even be a contender for my gaming dollar.

My allegiance is to good games, regardless of publisher, developer, or platform. That's not say I don't have some favorites, but I can say definitely that one system and or developer hasn't been so great in my view as to overshadow all the rest.
I could also forsee a situation in which the breakdown of one's collection by publisher would seem to indicate a preference when in fact it was purely coincidental. Do most of you have a definitive system and or developer preference or are you more like me and just buy/collect what you think is quality?

the % of Sega games is prolly much higher and the rest are prolly much lower
I've always known that I was a Sega loyalist more than anything else, but really we should be doing this by each individual game, not just by each individual system... Sega has made alot of games for alot of other systems now, but they really didn't make that many games for their own systems compared to other companies... so if you count all your Sega games made for your Nintendo systems as Nintendo games, just because they were made for a Nintendo system, then you really aren't giving Sega all the credit that they deserve to get for those games... it would be like counting all your Nintendo exclusives as Sega exclusives... think about it... so this is very fuzzy math...
