Microsoft revealing a 4th Xbox 360 SKU?

The Gamerscore Blog posted a series of photos on its Flickr account of Microsoft (http://kotaku.com/gaming/microsoft/) team members rehearsing for tonight's E3 2007 keynote, possibly inadvertently revealing what many believe to be an all-new, fourth Xbox 360 (http://kotaku.com/gaming/xbox-360/) hardware release. With the Core, Premium and Elite models represented, the fourth could be at any place in the specification spectrum, either signaling a less expensive, more casually targeted unit or a more expensive, more feature rich unit. If I were a betting man, I'd put my money on the former as I wouldn't be surprised to see Microsoft be more aggressive in targeting a less hardcore crowd with a lower cost, possibly bundled box. We'll know more tonight, starting at 7:30 PM PDT.

If that photo is authentic, I'm pretty sure it'll be a lower cost unit.

See how the 3 units are together and the elite is off to the side?
Why would they bundle a more expensive unit near the core/premium, instead of putting it off to the side where the elite was?

I was planning on getting an original XBOX but now, I just don't know. If pricing goes the right way I might just buy an XBOX 360...

If I were a betting man, I'd guess it was a 360 geared towards that XNA Game Studio. Like the Net Yaroze was for the PS1.

- less heat generated
- decreased power consumption
- less noise (are the 360 HDD even loud?)
- possibly no more red ring of death?

I doubt the hard drive is the source of issues, MS has people detach their harddrives before sending in their consoles when they get the red ring of death.

The only reason they would is its cheaper, but I doubt flash memory is cheaper.

it's a grapitei colour. aren't the dev kits and similar color also? I'm sure it won't happen but built in hd-dvd would totally rock!! it's prolly the halo sku.
