Anybody here played this game, particularly the RPG mode? It was the NES High Score Club game last week over at AtariAge and I decided to give it a play yesterday and today. The three tables were pretty lame, so I had a go at the RPG mode.

It had to be one of the most annoying games ever. It took around two hours to beat. I had to keep going back and forth between level 1 and level 2 forever until I could get enough points to buy some stuff. Once I got enough points to buy the permanent stoppers and center stoppers for some levels, it was doable. The later levels seemed easier than the second one. It was completely frustrating that whenever you fell through the hole you went to the previous level.

So, does anybody remember playing this game when they were younger? Any thoughts on it? I think it would make for a good rant by the Angry Video Game Nerd. It annoyed me to the point that I wanted to smash some stuff.

I had that game growing up, still do.
I played it so much.
I remember playing the circus and golf boards the most out of the three.

I absolutely loved the RPG mode though. Such a cool idea to mix an RPG with pinball.
Though it was annoying to drop levels and such, I never tired of it.

Thanks for posting this, makes me want to pop it in and play for a bit.

I picked up Pinball Quest about a year ago.

I played it for a while, but it got late and I was getting annoyed with it so I decided to save it for another day. I haven't played it since and now I regret not spending the extra time to just finish it off. :frustrated:

i didnt get this game untill the early 2000's
and i went right to RPG mode, because i loved the RPG mode of the TG16 game World Court Tennis (now Tennis and RPG is pretty cool also), but pinball quest fell alittle short, i enjoyed some parts of it tho
