View Full Version : Ocarina/Majora Prototype
I was wondering if there have been any beta versions or prototypes of Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time found? I've seen not-for-resale versions of both, but I'm unclear as to what differences (if any) may exist in those versions. Do you guys know anything?
EDIT: Yes, I am aware of the Master Quest debug ROM w/map select available online.

Yes, Ocarina. There was a post w/ pictures at Assembler about it a few years ago. In fact, in the actual ROM (not a prototype) there was a ship from Starfox or something. It was merely a reskinned bat, but pretty cool.

Hmm, care to point me in the right direction of that?
Also, the Arwing is a genuine laser-firing test enemy whose textures were found long before it was, and not a reskinned bat as far as I'm aware. I frequent the site generally associated with its discovery and various other hidden beta gems.

i believe the grey version of the majora's mask NFR cart gives you the option to select levels, but i'm not aware of any other differences after that.

Hmm, I think a ROM version of that might be available online as well. Thank you, though!
