Favorite Capcom Series?

I voted Mega Man since they were my first Capcom games I played, but I'm also a Street Fighter, marvel Vs. and Final Fight fan as well. Yet to play anything Dino Crisis though.

Although the vs series is a nice change of pace, the Street Fighter games are where my vote goes. Just more overall challenge and atmosphere in those games. Where is SF4??!!!1!!?11!!

It has to be the Darkstalkers series for me.

I remember playing the old Saturn Nightwarrriors. It kept track of the number of matches played, and we had over 1000 easily. I am dying for a new one!

Megaman... is just the same damn thing all the time. Sure the first ones were good, but I never loved the rest.

Marvel Vs. gets my #2 vote. It loses points for an awful CPU AI.

Hard to decide--I voted for Marvel vs because I figured SF and Mega Man are no-brainers. I don't know if X-Men: CotA counts, but I think that one's my fave...see Avatar...but seeing all of those characters in that style and animation... \^_^/

I'd vote for SF, but I'm not a fan of the "series"--I only ever played the original SFII and Turbo, and a little Super, but preferred the classic. Never got into the Alpha series, played SFIII a few times--that was a cool game. Too bad the arcade scene was dying by then and it never took off (it seemed to me).

ANY OPINIONS ON SF ALPHA 3 and FINAL FIGHT FOR GAMEBOY ADVANCE?????

EDIT: This makes me realize that Capcom is incredible. Think of some others--Bionic Commando, Strider, didn't they do Ghosts/Ghouls n' Goblins/Ghosts? Plus the above series?! That is ONE HELLUVA track record!!!! @_@

Do Armored Warriors, Cyberbots, and Tech Romancer count as a series? No?

In that case, I'll vote for the Darkstalkers games. Though I love Street Fighter, I've had more fun with the colorful, humorous style of Darkstalkers. I really hope that there's some truth to the recent rumor of another game in the series.

It's a tough choice because Capcom is responsible for so much gaming goodness. though I'm slanted in the area of Strider (having rediscovered Strider 2, again, and remembering how much it rocks!) but I guess I'll have to go with Street Fighter for the long haul.

Mega Man easily. Not the Legends or Battle Network, either, just the normal, Robot Master, choose the level style mega man (the X and Zero series fall under this too). SF is a close second, with Powerstone after that.

Tough call, but I have to go with Street Fighter. I LOVE Final Fight, but the series never took off after the sequel. 3 just didn't have "it." Street Fighter, well, is Street Fighter.

I voted for Mega Man, because it's just about the most consistantly good series not made by Nintendo. The worst non-GB Mega Man is Mega Man 4, which was an incredibly dull ** title. Yawn. But there is no doubt that Mega Man 2 and 3 are among the best games ever made.

I likely would have voted for Street Fighter but I'm so incredibly awful at fighting games that my opinion of them is somewhat sour... it's just no fun to get your ass kicked all the time lol.

I vote for the 19xx series (1941, 1942, 1943, 19xx...). I just love those shooters.

Mega Man, it's the only game I've played next to Street Fighter.
Haven't played the others (except Mighty Final Fight), but still don't think they can beat the Mega Man series. The Mega Man NES games and Mega Man X are some of my favorites.

Oh and thanks Capcom for not releasing BoF 1 in Europe, and that you distributed Mega Man 7, X2, X3 and BoF2 by a company called 'Laguna'. Wow, talking about bad distribution.

Street Fighter, I'ved played that series more than any of the other choices. Now why won't Capcom remake the original Street Fighter (with better controls and updated graphics) and release it in arcades and on the current consoles, hey portnoyd do you like K's Choice too? :band:

Definitely Mega Man. I never get sick of those games. I liked Breath of Fire 1 and 2 but after that I thought they sucked. Street Fighter is good but I really haven't been into it since SF II Turbo. Second place will probably go to Marvel vs. Those games just straight up rock.
