I thought it might be time to introduce my own "Room of Doom" now that I seem to be a regular visitor to this forum. If you want to see large versions of any of the images below, just click on them. So here's my lounge where I do most of my gaming:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/archive/20070724sm.jpg

Here's all my consoles:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/archive/20070421sm.jpg

And some of my games collection, although this photo is quite old now:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/archive/Collection2006sm.jpg

Here's most of my current gen games:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/archive/20071028sm.jpg

The Nintendo 64 is the console I'm most interested in collecting for. Here's most of the N64 games I own:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/archive/200707sm.jpg

And here's the silly amount of N64 controllers I own:

That's about it... Hope you like it, you can see more in my Room of Doom, linked to in my sig.

boy compared to the other rooms of doom, this is like walking into a demo living room in Ikea. It's lovely. :3

Thanks! It's not normally that tidy, but I thought I'd take a photo of it when it was. I guess that's cheating... ;)

At first your place looked roomy but not so doomy, then I scrolled down a bit and $#@% my pants @_@

What is that dual-analog stick N64 controller? I've been trying to track that thing down since who knows when.

It's called a Nyko Alpha Pro 64, but I wouldn't bother buying one, it's a terrible controller. The dual sticks give a false impression; they can't actually be used together. There's a switch underneath so that you can select which stick you want to use, and this pretty much makes the right control stick pointless (if you're using that stick, you can't easily access the A, B and C buttons).

You should also know that the controller is absolutely huge, both control sticks are terrible to use and the plug is a poor fit for the N64. Overall it's pretty crap.

I got mine from this seller on eBay:

He's got brand new boxed Hori Pad Minis in quite a few colours. Worth a look if you're interested in buying one. :)

It's nice to see an organized, clean gaming setup on DP once and awhile.

Sorry to be off topic, but I gotta ask: WHAT is up with the bold italicized type on every post?

@ alxbly: Very nice man. Clean and professional looking. Color me impressed!

It's an iQue Player:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/iQue/iQuePlayerSM.jpg

These were Nintendo's first attempt at entering the Chinese games market. It isn't a Nintendo 64 controller as such, although they share a number of parts, it's actually a console or DTV unit. The iQue stores N64 games on a flashcard which inserts into the controller, and the controller just plugs straight into the TV. Further games can be downloaded from special "iQue Stations" or from the web. Nintendo released quite a few games for the system, most of which can be seen on the back of the iQue Player box:

I know that thing is official, but it still looks like some type of clone.

And that box art reeks of "bootleg". I know better, but still. LOL

LOL Maybe the packaging design was Nintendo trying to fit in with all the other bootleg stuff in China!

Thanks to everyone for who's commented, it's appreciated. :)

man I want that Surfwave in your sig pictures. Care to share how you came across it and how much it set you back?

Also: what you would do if a 64DD showed up on your doorstep one morning in a full retail box with a big red bow on it (just sitting on top, don't want to mess up the box).

Oh that! Right, that's an Interact Vortext. Here's a better photo of it:

It's kind of a cross between a flight stick and a steering wheel and it works quite well with some games.

I got the Surfwave from PlayAsia.com, but the last few times I've checked they've been out of stock (I would have liked to get a white one as well). I can't remember how much it cost, I think it was about £25 ($50 US).

As for the 64DD... well, I'm hoping one will land on my doorstep one day. I just need to find the right one. LOL

Just updated my Room of Doom with some new photos. It's been two years since I first posted, so here's the new additions.

My main set-up has changed, now has an Xbox Elite and a PS3:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/Collection/Consolesloungesm.jpg

I've increased the number of consoles I'm collecting for:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/Collection/Gameconsolessm.jpg

And I've needed to find more room for everything:

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y70/alxbly/Collection/Gameshelvessm.jpg

Most of my stuff is in boxes now, except for the current gen games. I really need to get a room of doom for all my stuff...

Well, you finally have an Atari 2600 in there. I was wondering why a collector wouldn't have one in his collection. In my opinion, it's like having a nice sports car, but no steering wheel! :)
