So the new min-E3 is over. Based on what I've read on various game news sites the journalists didn't like the shuttling around to different hotel suites to see the games and since it's July, many of the games had already been announced or previewed at other press events.

But what did you think of the show and the coverage?

Bonus: What is your most wanted game? Mine is Super Mario Galaxy.

Cheers,
Ben

What is your most wanted game?

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames.

Of course it was my "most wanted" before E3, but the new footage just made me want it that much more. The fact that it comes out only two weeks after GTA IV is cruel.

Min-E3 was a waste. If they don't bump this back to springtime, they might as well not do it at all. Nothing really 'new and noteworthy' was there since it was all announced and shown previously.

I'd say Super Mario Galaxy shot up there in my 'wanted games list' thanks to the new gameplay video.

I thought the media coverage was good from the sites I go to. Joystiq complained about the locations of where the games are in terms of traveling from one place to another along with no free wifi.

I got the impression based on what I read, Nintendo was holding back on what games will be at e3 or mention during their press conference like Golden Sun Ds.

My most wamted games is Super Mario Galaxy.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

I gotta admit I was very impressed by that as well.

Heavenly Sword also really blew me away. It looked SchWEEEEET. :D

There were so many other cool games though, but none so called "blew me away" as much as those did.

My top 5 of e3:

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames
Heavenly Sword
Killzone 2
Assassins Creed
Wii Fit (sue me, I like it)

Honorable Mention:

Super Mario Galaxy

The conferences were boring, and I didn't see a ton of new stuff, so that was kind a letdown.

Most anticipated game?

The "big 3" not having any mind-blowing announcements wasn't really a suprise. Hardware was a last year thing, now they are all focusing on building up the software library. I think the min-E3, while not as exciting as previous shows, was still put together pretty nicely.

Top 5:

Super Mario Galaxy
Resident Evil 5
Call of Duty 4
Mass Effect
Bio Shock

Mercs 2
Bioshock
Assassin's Creed
Heavenly Sword
Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

The coverage wa sorta hum-drum, this year.

My top games list would be:
-Mercinaries 2
-Resident Evil 5 (everyone at work was talking about the trailler, the day after it was shown)
-Bioshock
-WiiFit (I was actually impressed by it, too)
-Crysis (still waiting...)
-Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles (I wan't that WiiZapper, bad!!)

And there's a huge amount of XBLA games, I'm waiting for. Especially Bomberman Live (which fortunately comes out tomorrow) and Space Giraffe

Not nearly as cool as the last couple of years.

I subscribe to a half dozen magazines and had seen or heard of all the games; previews for many.

I liked watching the in game-footage though. Assassin's Creed, Kiollzone 2, Mario Galaxy, etc. I think this was the best part for me.

There are a dozen games that look awesome to me, but previous years have shown me that some of these games will be released before they are ready or they will not be good. We'll see.
