Best Games:

Wii Sports Bowling
Super Paper Mario
Excite Truck

They just brought out Resident Evil 4 too, so if you haven't ever played that game it's HIGHLY RCOMMENDED!

Also I just downloaded the demo for Harry Potter and OOTP for my pc and I gotta say I like the demo quite a bit, it may be a good one to pick up as well, seems like it would be fun.

I'll warn you that Red Steel is pretty good at first, but the sword fighting with swinging the remote around gets old real fast. There were some fights I just had to swing it back and forth as fast as I could for a couple minutes. It was quite a workout. I traded the game off quickly after that. EDIT: I'll add that I really liked the FPS portion of the game. The controls, once you get the hang of it, make playing a slower-paced FPS really fun. It was the sword fights that killed this game.

Good games include Smooth Moves, Excitetruck, Zelda and I personally liked some of the mini games in Super Monkey Ball.

Warioware gets old fast. None of the sequels have topped the GBA original IMO.

Red Steel was universally panned as medicore shit. Even the usual DP Nintendo apologists won't stand up for it...which says a lot.

I'd vote for Resident Evil 4. Even though everybody has probably played it to death by now, the revised Wii control scheme keeps you on your toes. It's goes for $30 new and is perfectly priced. I don't think any Wii game released so far is worth $50 (maybe Super Paper Mario...but I haven't played it yet).

Red Steel is bad.

My recommendations: Super Paper Mario, Rayman Raving Rabbids

Tiger Woods 07, seriously, I haven't had this much fun with a game in a long time.

I agree! It's a perfect renter...

I found The Godfather to be a blast. It implements the Wii controls very, very well and is a pretty good GTA clone.

What abut the marble minigame? I kinda like the spells and all too what makes it so bad? Is it short?

I really like that marble minigame :p

I have Warioware and it really really does get old fast. I beat it the night I got it and never really went back. I couldn't get into Excitetruck myself, I absolutely HATED the controls.

My recommendations:

Resident Evil 4 - The revamped controls really are better! Once you go back to the original style, you'll immediately miss the Wii remote aiming. I've already beat this to death on Gamecube and have played through it about 4 times between the two difficulties. You also get all the bonus content from the PS2 version and it's greatly priced at 30 bucks.

Rayman Raving Rabbids - Excellent game! Very interesting mini games, hilarious moments and all around beats the crap out of Warioware as far as party games go.

Super Paper Mario - Havent actually played but I hear it's one of the best you can get on the system ATM. I'm sure you can't go wrong with this one.

The only games I can recommend:

-Resident Evil 4 (if it wasn't for the fact I never got to play this last gen, I would've sold my Wii a few months back.)
-Elebits

I got sick of Rayman: RR, Super Paper Mario, WarioWare, and Zelda soon after I bought them. I have to say, I'm really disappointed with the current selection of Wii games.

I've owned the wii since x-mas, and I still think to this day that Trauma Center has the lot beat. I also agree with Super Paper Mario and Resident Evil 4.

Wii games I am recommend:

Excite Truck - Seem underrated but I find maximum enjoyment playing it!
Elibits - Nice unique game with great music
Kororinpa - Nice take on Marble Madness, it is fun and can be addictive

When playing with friends I have found fun in:
Wii Sports
Wario Ware

The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess is good if you are enjoy Zelda and have not play the GCN version.

I am hear good words of Super Paper Mario but sadly I have no play it yet :embarrassed:

Super paper Mario is nothing short of amazing, and has a surprisingly deep story. I give it 10/10

I recently jumped off the Wii bandwagon and sold my Wii, but while I had it, my favorite games were:

Rayman Raving Rabids
Wii Play
Wii Sports
Super Paper Mario

those were definitely my favorites, although I must say that Super Paper Mario is a bit overrated. Still, one of the better Wii games.

Ugh, please stay away from Red Steel.

My recomendations:

Super Paper Mario
Excite Truck
Wii Play
RE 4
Wii points and a classic controller

i.e., it just plain sucks, I don't care if there's katanas in it.

Games to try include

Resident Evil 4, because the new control scheme is excellent and its cheap

Super Paper Mario, because its just great fun

Twilight Princess, because its an excellent game, and one of the few Wii games with genuine replayability

Trauma Center, because its HARD but rewarding

Metal Slug Anthology, because its five excellent games for forty bucks.

And that I think about wraps it up. Seriously.

I found The Godfather to be a blast. It implements the Wii controls very, very well and is a pretty good GTA clone.I second that. I'm not a fan of GTA or similar games, but Godfather on Wii is a blast.

I liked Red Steel. It's a little clunky, and ugly, and not at all polished, but still managed to be a lot of fun. If you can get it cheap, it's worth it.

Sonic and the Secret Rings is another game that's not polished, and has some rough edges, but the core gameplay is really fun. It definitely grew on me as I played it. I enjoyed it (though I never finished - need to get back to it one of these days).

Rayman Raving Rabbits is the best minigame collection on the Wii. It's hilarious, and pretty replayable.

Only read one metnion of Far Cry. I played the 360 version and enjoyed it greatly, and I appreciate that the Wii version is something different I was hoping to hear more about it because it can be had quite cheaply. Anyone one else love/hate this game?

Anyone one else love/hate this game?I have not played it (or even seen it), but it's gotten universally horrible reviews (much worse than Red Steel). I would stay away.

Oh, I also kind of liked SSX Blur on the Wii. The default controls were just unplayably bad, but once you switched to steering via the analog stick it became a lot of fun. Not really worth buying if you've alreayed played SSX3, but if you've missed out on the franchise it's a polished and entertaining game.
