I just read this on the net and I called my local Blockbuster and it is true. Brand new Metroid Prime $19.99!!! Man I AM out the door to pick mine up. :D

Well I snagged it and it had a sticker on the box for a free game rental. Wow, can't wait to play it. I hope Medal of Honor goes on discount sale price as well.

I work for Blockbuster, and there were several games that went down $20 -$30 last week. The email didn't get to my store until last night (the most ancient text-based one-way email system ever! >.< ), but the prices downloaded on March 28th. The games that went to $19.99 included:

GCB Metroid Prime
GCB Resident Evil Zero
XBX Madded 2003
XBX Blinx
XBX Mech Assault
XBX Metal Gear Solid: Substance

I say included because the email only includes games that are shown in inventory at the time it's sent. Other games went down to $29.99, but most were games that you could get for that price elsewhere. A bunch of the accessories also went way down in price.

By the way, the free game rental sticker expired on 01/31/03. You may be able to argue your way into using it, though.

I hit 3 Blockbusters on the way home last night, the last had 6 copies
of Metroid left (El Camino and Kiely, Santa Clara Ca if anyone is local). Thanks
