Is there anything wrong with storing games inside the arcade cabinet (next to the motherboard) for easy access, or should I find a better place for them? Stupid question, I know; I'm new at this.

Nope, no problem. Go for it.

Figured as much. They'll stay there until I get some shock boxes.

Okay - I'm really curious...

Why are you storing games in an arcade cabinet? And does the arcade game still actually work?

And if it does, I'd highly recommend against it. It could short out the mobo or knock out a chip or IC. Not to mention, arcade games are dust breeding grounds.

He mentions shock boxes, so I'm assuming its a Neo-Geo and he's keeping the carts in the cab when he's not playing that game.

Won't hurt it at all, I have a 4 slot and I keep an extra 4 or 5 games in it all the time.

Ah, yeah, sorry, it's a Neo-Geo. And I'm talking about storing the games to the left of the motherboard, which is itself covered.

Oh. Okay.

Yeah. Should be no problem.

Here's how I store mine, not too many for the time being.
