I picked up the following at a local flea market among a tub of NES cartridges...

...the vendor said I could have it for free, I suppose he thought it was junk or a broken unlabeled cartridge. Most of his stuff was pretty dirty so I'm guessing it isn't brought out much. Once I got home I put tape over the window in the EPROM and tried it out. It's Caesar's Palace but I don't know where my official release Caesar's Palace cartridge is (or if it even was mine). I remember having a copy at one point but it could have been a game I was cleaning / testing for sale in a bundle for a relative.

It seems to be the full game but I think I've found a couple differences over the released version if memory serves me right...

1. Primary color of back wall and slot machines is violet instead of brown.
2. No music in ending sequence after cashing in chips.

Until I get a release copy I really can't dive into checking out what else may be different. Could anyone with a copy of Caesar's Palace check the above out?

A free proto is a really nice find! Congrats! :) I dont have a retail copy (i think), but i tried the ROM now. The background color is black (possibly very dark brown?) when you play the slots. When you win all you hear is some cash sound, no music.

No, no, I meant there's no music when you go to the cashier at the end of your game and cash out all your winnings and then leave. As for the slot colors, I meant in the lobby, the back wall and the slot machines (top right corner) are primarly violet in color instead of brown. I've taken a look at the emulated version as well using the "accurate" NES color pallet under NEStopia, but I wanted to verify this stuff against an actual retail cartridge.
