has anyone played this? i was trying to test it out on an emulator but my computer keeps freezing up. i originally thought it was one-on-one fighting, but several websites call it final fight-esque. which is it?

the sequel/remake on the ps1 is a beat 'em up and a fine game too if anyone was curious.

Mad Stalker is also on X68k and FM Towns...I've played a little of the X68k version, didn't go far. Got bored. I'll have to try it again, though. It's decent looking.

Seems better to me than Genocide 1 (also on both systems, I think).

I have the PC Engine version (http://www.vgden.com/cdrom.htm?mst) and the game, despite looking really nice with large sprites and smooth animation, is hard to control and repetitive. It is indeed a side-scrolling beat'm up. I've never player the PS1 version though...

From what I can remember (haven't played it in a while), the PCE ACD and PSX versions are near identical. The ACD version is only really worth it if you are a fan or have a JP or US setup with a converter.

thanks, guys. the ps1 version is a pretty solid beat 'em up, and i think it is worth purchasing for around $25-30 bucks.
