How much do you guys/gals think an Electroplankton is worth loose. It is the authentic USA cartridge and plays perfectly. I'm looking to sell this for some paypal cash. Any opinions of value or offers? Thanks!

$10? Wow, that seems quite low for a game that is no longer being made for a very popular system. Although I do realize it's cartridge only and that it detracts from the value, $10 doesn't seem realistic.

Maybe I'll hold onto it and sell it around X-MAS time for hopefully better results. For some reason I don't believe that they will re-release this title.

I remember reading that somewhere, but I can't remember where. I believe that it's true though.

I think when it randomly showed up in a couple gamestops is around the time it got re-released. I saw a few in the store but never picked them up. I do believe its been out of print for around a year or so (maybe 8 months).

I'm almost expecting a mass reprint of this... It doesn't seem like the reprint some of you are speaking of was widespread at all, as none of the GameStops within 30-50 miles got it.

That said, in its current state, a card-only Electroplankton should fetch $25-$32 normally, with complete ones fetching in the $50s. Not a long-term investment, by any means...expect the reprint, and expect the price to drop (a la Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center).

I haven't heard of any reprints but I did sell my cartridge only here at DP for $35 so I'm happy.

I guarantee they will be no reprint of Electroplankton. Never before has the big N done a reprint on a title like this. It just is not like them. Shoot, they did not even reprint popular titles like DDR Mario or Mario Tennis for the GC.

Um...actually, they did a limited reprint of DDR Mario Mix... It virtually killed the eBay resale value of it (in fact, mine was the absolute last one that sold for $150+ prior to the reprint ($163.51 + shipping)). Post-reprint, the eBay value dropped to around $40-$60 (and at one point post-reprint, there were three at my local Rhino/GameStop, $49.99 brand new). Now they're steadily climbing again...complete copies nowadays readily fetch in the neighborhood of $80.

Mario Power Tennis, on the other hand, I cannot say for sure one way or the other regarding a reprint...

Some people claim they did a limited reprint but I do not think it was a reprint at all. I think, if anything, it was just them dumping off the last stock they had stashed away. If you have some sort of proof it was a reprint, please do show. There was a SMALL influx of new copies for a little while, but it would not make sense if it was a reprint at all. It would have cost more for the few copies they reprinted than the amount they released. Only certain stores got any at all (mainly just Toys R Us it appears) and they received very few. They never dipped below $80 sealed at any point on ebay or amazon and it was only a 3 week period or so when they were down. They are now to $75+ used again (and have been for a few weeks). I have had multiple used copies up for the past 8 months or so on ebay and amazon each and they always sell at least 2 copies a week and I have never priced it below $64 used.

Unless you mean when the christmas thing when it was first released. That was not a reprint really at all. What happenned there was there was some sort of issue (I have heard many different things, all related to the pads) and they had to stop printing it. This was VERY shortly after it was released. A few months later, they did put it fully back in print. It was not a true reprint, though, as they had to pull the copies and once whatever issue was solved, they did put it back on store shelves.

there is a buy it now complete copy for $55 with free shipping right now with no bites, as well as a $60 buy it now complete. completed listings seem to be going for around the $50 range, including some sealed copies. I only see one copy going for "$75+" on there, and that one was sealed...
