I'm announcing a new game which will be available at CGE in a new and weird way just because that's the way that I roll.

We acquired this game at the same time we acquired "Meltdown". This is a MUCH better game, designed by the same guy, completed but unreleased. There will only be 100 of these made, one per CGE attendee.

I'll let you discover on your own and I'll add details later.

So I'm confused this is another 2600 release? I see the cart, but the picture is so blurry and I can't even tell if that's what the new release is.

"Best described as a 3-D version of Imagic's Shootin' Gallery."

Dammit. Gonna be a long week.

I think it's lasercade? I remember this and meltdown because a few years ago at cge I introduced the guy who programmed the game to Sean Kelly BECAUSE he had two unreleased games for the 2600 that he wanted to introduce to the community... I called Sean over and introduced him to the guy, he got his info, and viola! another couple of titles uncovered! Does this mean you'll reserve me one as a finders fee? LOL See you all at the show!

So there are only 100 people attending this year? :)

So...anyone play this or Pitcher's Duel yet?

I plan on giving my copy a whirl tonight or tomorrow. Basically whenever I unearth the Atari.

Lasercade is amazing. Amazing, amazing, amazing. Wow.

Pitcher's Duel is probably good too. However, I punked out and bought the cart only rather than the box/instructions because I didn't want to foot the extra $15 just for paper and cardboard. Now I'm kinda screwed because I can't figure out what button does what. :( Lesson learned. If anyone can give me a crash course on how to play, you'll save me a few more days of random button smashing.

What was the price of the Lasercade cart in box?

Either $35 or $40. Can't remember which, to be honest. Probably $40.

Do you know how much the green cart Pitcher's Duel sold for? I see three on Ebay now, and I don't want to overpay TOO much.

Anyone here end up with one of the red Lasercade games we made?

We made 10 of the 100 with red cart shells and randomly inserted them in the boxes.

It was $45 at CGE and I think the two that sold on Ebay so far were $130-$150.

Actually Nice Try on your part...read the post he was quoting again.

They were referring to Pitcher's Duel for Vectrex, not the Lasercade:

Yeah, From what I saw when i boxed some there were only a few red. About 4 to 10 of them I think.

Tried Lasercade today, and enjoyed it quite a bit. Definitely a quality game for the 2600. I couldn't figure out why the spinning coins had to be shot more than once. Maybe the hit only registers when the coin is displayed as flat, and not spinning?
Thanks to all who brought this great game to CGE!

The manual explains it. I don't remember exactly, but I think you have to hit the "center" of the coin, not an edge when it isn't displayed as flat on the screen.
