Just curious to see who's played this game, I tried it for the first time today and was dissappointed, It's a good idea but the aiming just seems to be impossible to nail down, I can't beat the first stage. Anyone good at it at all or actually enjoy it? Just curious, post your thoughts.

It's probably the only Nintendo-made game that is absolutely forgotten until today. I literally have never seen it mentioned on the internet until now.

It's also significant for being one of those Nintendo-made games that was never actually released in Japan (like the Startropics series)

I used to think it looked totally awesome, and yet I never bought it!

I've owned this game for years. Its all right, and I've beaten the first level. The aim does seem a little off, but I'm not sure if that's the game or just me.

Yup, as said, the controls are a bit slow and clunky for a shooter. Like most NES games, the music repeats more than you'ld like, but at least these tunes aren't too bad.

I found it to be somewhat tough and unrewarding. I'ld say it is worth a play or two if you're bored some afternoon, you can decide from there.

edit:

whoa, I was thinking about Air Fortress earlier. For this one (To the Earth), I found it quite imprecise. Oh well, anything that gets that zapper to go Ka-Pang! is always worth a chuckle.

I love this game. I haven't beaten the game, but I've beaten the first 2 or 3 levels. Lots of practice in Duck Hunt is how I managed to do that one :)

Also, the aim isn't off really, just really sensitive. You have to be very careful, especially when the ships are far away.

I have the cart, but it's defective. No matter how much I clean it, I get this weird grid of dots on the screen.

Regardless, the game throws way too much shit at you. It's like an army of monkeys slinging their shit at your TV screen. The game's downright impossible. I can beat it with a Game Genie, but that's not saying much.

The end sequence was entertaining, though.

When this game came out for the NES, it reminded me of all the crap games that rolled out at the end of the VCS lifespan.

I'd rather play To The Earth than Duck Hunt any day.

I think the targets come at you way too quickly making the game a lot more difficult than it should have been made. It's my least favorite of the "Zapper" games.
