I just bought a Virtua Racing twin sitdown off eBay ($128) that is missing one monitor. These machines require a 25" medium resolution monitor and after a some searching (that revealed little else), I came across this. (http://www.happcontrols.com/monitors/49305600.htm) Has anyone here had any experience with this brand? The damn thing is pretty expensive, and I'd hate to drop that kind of coin on a brand that I know nothing about. I originally wanted to go with a Wells Gardner K7500, but apparently they have been discontinued.
Does anybody have any other suggestions for this application?

Haven't had the pleasure (or displeasure, as the case may be) of dealing with this particular monitor, but that seems to me to be a fair price. That's normally about what they'd run new. I know a Koretek is about the same price. Check out your local video game operator to see if they have a used med. res. monitor. You might be able to score something for like half the price. Otherwise, looks like you're into Virtua Racing for about $450 more.
Is the monitor actually GONE from the cab? Or are you missing just the board? If you have the tube, you could look around and find a chassis for it somewhere. (provided the tube is still good)

The monitor is missing. The yokels that had the machine tried to replace it with a new 19" standard res monitor (which came with the machine) but couldn't figure out why it didn't work. I'm hoping to sell it to recoup a little of the cost of the new monitor. I really don't mind dropping the extra money into this machine as it is in great shape otherwise (I played the other side for several hours today), and I went in knowing that I would have to probably have to buy a monitor.
I was initially hoping to repair the second monitor but I didn't know it was a standard res monitor until I went to pick the machine up.
