Man, I can't believe this guy spammed my feedback. He's in the middle of the page.

http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=entertainmentcenter&page=2&items=25

That takes some nerve. :?

Hmmm... That's a good idea :)

Wonder if it's "legal"

I just got an e-mail yesterday with the "Question for Seller" header about one of my auctions. I open it up and here it's a stupid goddamn spam for some magazine subscription firm.

Can I report this and if so where?

Kristine

Yeah, I've gotten that kind of spam too, Kris! I didn't even think about reporting it, tho.. Lemme know what you find out, cuz I'll GLADLY report it. The less spam, the better.

Well, support@ebay.com would be a good place to report your complaints. I know eBay is changing a few things so you'd have to report any issues through their web sites but it's even more confusing then going through your tax forms. :P It's almost as if eBay doesn't care if any rules are broken as long as the money rolls in.

I have to admit I laughed out loud when I read that feedback with the URL in it. I'd leave feedback like that too:

Excellent ebayer, A++++ (www.kindstranger.com)

If my site wasn't totally useless to anyone but me.

There should be a link right at the bottom of those e-mails to report him if it's coming from the ebay website.

If you're going to write to eBay anyway, also ask if they'll get plain text emails working again. I mean, last I checked the option was still there, and I still had it checked, but I still get nothing but shitty HTML email.

Last time I looked at feedback rules, eBay did not allow urls in feedbacks. If you report him, they will probably delete that part of the feedback, or just delete the feedback completely.

I hate to say it, but ebay apparently doesn't care anymore. I spam my website in feedback now too. :(

It sucks, but if ebay doesn't mind, it IS free advertising. Plus most people (Myself included in these cases) aren't going to complain and get the feedback removed, then you're out a positive feedback.

So what happened?

Hey, I really appreciate you replying to a dead thread. I'm glad I spent several minutes trying to find that feedback, but it isn't there because it was pushed pages back by time.

Thanks,

D
