Ys Strategy- anyone have it?

Did anyone import this? Any good? How playable without Japanese language knowledge?

I've heard some pretty negative word of mouth about the game's quality, but I haven't played it myself. From what I understand, there's a european release of it that might have an english option... you may want to explore that option.

I'll poke around and see if I can find any specific information as to why people didn't like it.

I have it. I stopped playing it after about an hour (and from what I played, it was fairly easy to figure out without knowing much Japanese). I'll never touch it again, but as a Falcom/Ys fan I did feel required to grab and try it.

It's not a SRPG - it's RTS, and slow moving. The main character isn't Adol, it's another red-haired guy. Unless something happens later in the game, I can't see any reason for it to be shoved in the Ys universe.

I just didn't find it interesting in the least and I feel I did give it a fair chance. Decent use of the touch-screen, though.
